These things can be done privately among friends but not on public where c/o directly mislead traders. People should not offer someone else property no matter what the situation is.

Also there is already a rule on outpost which says -
No fake current offers. This is deemed a serious offence if you create multiple accounts and/or manipulate friends into posting fake offers. In addition to a permanent ban on our site, you will receive a scammer tag on SteamRep.

You are openly admitting of breaking a rule here. This is the major point i want to stress out, Not only to you but to all the traders. Please do not offering something which you dont own or something which belongs to someone else. Atleast not on Outpost where this thing is considered as a serious rule breaker. Simple.

I've come accross this issue a lot of times now specially common with new traders on outpost.

Lets say i have a hat "A" in my backpack and i offer my hat "A" to other trader on outpost who is selling "B". The other trader then C/Os me goes all over outpost spams my hat "A" in order to get a deal. Not only this is completely unprofessional but it is also adding to spams as the seller does not possess the item in his backpack.

I strongly feel that some kind of action must be taken with these kind of trading practices. These things can be done privately. But spamming something which you don't own is completely different. Only adds to spam in my opinion.

Not only Patience and Competition. Be nice and polite to people. Try to help your fellow traders in a good way. This all helps. Most of the traders in this community lack these type of qualities and are plastic traders referring to price checking websites, Buying duped stuff from alts and lowballing, abusing the hell out of your item. Thats the reason why the market is so slow now. Even if you are getting a marginal profit on your item, just go with a trade unless its a very sophisticated item. Trading takes time. Also make sure whats going around TF2 like the new updates, changes, check SR and steam profile to see if the other user you trading with is legit. Sometimes these minor things help.
