My problem is this kind of selling on tf2outpost ruins the ebb and flow of pricing on the market, and leaves me not wanting to trade any more. What can I do about this? I'm talking about me selling games, not just buying.

You bring up interesting points, indeed, but they aren't quite addressing all my concerns :/ But you bring up some points I had not considered.

Okay, I'm getting super sick of all these game listings selling copies they _don't have_. Why this is allowed outside of sales is beyond me. People are spiking the market with prices. 4 keys for games that are $43? How can we compete with this? games don't go up in price any more, and I have no assurance they will even sell me copies any more since I send keys first. If I'm sending keys, and it costs the dude on the other end $43 to buy the game, it seems probable they won't sell me the game.

This is not working, and I'm not even sure if I'm properly explaining this.

I see so many posts where people don't even have the games they're selling in their inventories. Then they link to a dispenser bot that doesn't even have it in that inventory either. This seems super sketchy and I have no recourse from VALVe if they simply don't buy the game for me. This instills no confidence in me as the buyer. To me this is destructive to the tf2outpost environment and trust between traders.

As such I don't think this practice should be acceptable. Specifically, the sale/listing of items you don't even have in your inventory.

Hi Folks, not sure if this is the right area to post this (I tried to see if there was a better place).

I was warned in another ticket that if I didn't stop reporting about posts where the person didn't have something for sale that I would get banned. Here's the problem i have with that.

A) having listings where the item isn't actually for sale (I was checking the people's inventories before reporting) is gainst the site policy, why am I being punished for this if I am actually trying to help?

B) I had already submitted multiple reports so the person banning me assumed I submitted them AFTER reading his warning, when in fact I had no chance to read his warning and cease. As such this ban really is not fair.

I was advised in another ticket that submitting reports when a listed bot has supply on an item is not against the rules, and I have tried to adjust to this.

I am quick on the site, and am sick of seeing these listings where people don't close their trades when they run out of an item. This spikes the prices of the items, and I was just trying to help out, and instead I am banned.

Considering I am a paying user, and a long time user, this ban is incredibly uncalled for, especially when I was not trying to be malicious and actually comply with the site policy!

Please unban me and re-instate my account as it was before banning.

Think about it this way, there are 95k members of this group. So that's a starting number of who's actually using the site. Now let's assume 30% of those actually are willing to pay. That means their revenue is $143k or so per month. There's no way this site costs anywhere near that much to run a month. The price is way too high relative to the services rendered. Websites of this scale do cost money, but nowhere near that much.

A price of $2/mo is far more reasonable for all parties involved.

What I'd rather do is appeal to the dev's sense of reason to reconsider a more reasonable pricing. Instead of just completely stopping support for them. Your binary response is not helpful.

Yeah I know what it's for. But the price is way too high for such simple website features.

I raised this issue when the premium pricing came out. And well, I haven't really seen any change.

Right now it doesn't impact me for another year, as I have donated my fair share. But when it does, the price of $4.99 per month for tf2outpost access is steep.

Are there any plans to revisit this pricing?
