So long as you didn't buy the unusual from a marked scammer you're fine.

Well can you give us the error message you receive when you try to trade?

If you're logging in from a new device you won't be able to trade from it for 7 days.

Trade rule #8 No trading with scammer alts. We do not encourage our users trading with scammers, and you should be careful to not trade with obvious alternate accounts of scammers. Please check the user's Steam profile and SteamRep status before trading with them.

If the item isn't giftable then you won't be able to gift wrap it.

If the item is giftable you can gift wrap it, which will make it tradable.
