There are no time limits on trades. It could be that you misclicked the bump button and hit close by mistake? Note that if one of your trades somehow get closed, you can reopen them by clicking on the 're-open trade' button[outpost.gg]

You are allowed to make a trade without having the Steam Mobile Authenticator attatched to your account, and, though annoying, cancelling the trade within the 3 day period does not count as scamming.
