There is nothing we can do on our end. The only interaction between the phishers and outpost is them scrubbing the front page for SteamID numbers/profile links and then adding them directly through the Steam client.

If we were to remove that information, it would cripple the site and do nothing in the long term as that information can be found anywhere your profile is publicly seen.

Valve did take some action not too long ago where they limited the number of friend requests you could send out in a single day, but reversed it for some reason.

Making the site login only will destroy SEO and hurt the traders using it. Bumping our own trades is useless - most ignore staff trades.

imo your approach is wrong then.. its actually fairly simple what needs to be done and that is to remove the steamid 64 from the html source

this is all the info the bot needs and u provide it to them so what u need to do is remove that which would imply u wont be able to add a person from outpost to steam.

This would completely destroy Outpost's SEO on all search engines and consequently diminish the traffic on the site - and ruin the trades or people trading here.

if this isnt an option, well then u should make an option like csgolounge that allows u to link ur tradeofferlink similiarly u could that with the 64id and allow a user to have the option to add his 64id and activate "add on steam".

this would give the users the option to decide wether a direct add link to steam is worth it or not :)

Enabling or disabling "add on steam" is completely irrelevant. They don't need this button to add people.

What precisely have you done for Greenpeace? Did you install their computers?

There isn't much we can do. They create a lot of accounts on the site and there is no guaranteed way to flag them when they do. We do our best but unless Steam does something to prevent multiple account creation and/or spamming friend request invites, this will keep happening.
