You may not trade with marked users, specially if the trade is valued at more than a few keys.

Main Rule #8: No trading with scammer alts. We do not encourage our users trading with scammers, and you should be careful to not trade with obvious alternate accounts of scammers. Please check the user's Steam profile and SteamRep status before trading with them.

It's not up to you to evaluate the significance of a tag or its associated offense.

We don't disclose our techniques/tools because that would provide information on how to circumvent the detection. The best way to go is to report them, like Regen said.

There are thousands of games, and no official schema for them. This only makes the system more heavy. Also, people could list keys and a game on the same trade, sell the keys for cash and the game for items.

Bad links are already detected. Automatic bans for mass reporting is not a good idea because people with many alts could abuse the system. I've banned phishers with only 1 received report.

The trades already expire after a week without bumping. We can't close tickets because they may be a scam/shark report or some other valid offense. The punishment must still come to the offenders, regardless of the reporter's status.

Sounds like you need multiple levels of support:
Level 1 can only close a trade with a warning or escalate to level 2. It cannot ban or unban.

There is no valid or invalid ticket closings. A ticket is closed by the staff after it is handled. And people only complain when they are wrong, in the 99% of cases.

The system should not add more work to those already in. Such system would require inspection and supervision, and we can't afford to lose someone just to make sure others won't screw up like this. We are tweaking the application process to make it faster and more accurate than it is now.

What he means is that the tickets trigger a notification to the staff when bumped, and this action puts them - the tickets dating from before the system was implemented - back on the pile.

Tickets are sorted by date already, and finding good moderators is not as easy as one thinks. We are also discussing the application process to address this issue.

Recurring payments are automatically cancelled when a user is permanently banned.

Yes, as fair as I know you cancel only the recurring payments, what you paid for will still be active.

From the rules page: Users with premium status will not be refunded any duration of time lost if banned.

We do not regulate or enforce prices and we have no plans on doing so. People are free to set their own prices and negotiate a better deal, and pricing guides should be used only as an estimate of an item's value. "Worth" is a very relative word.
