Ok so this might be pretty long, but keep reading.

Okay so a few months ago I traded with a really obvious scammer alt and got my 2 week ban. From there on, I looked at steam level, whether or not they had rep, and games/hours. The user I traded with was: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198190859327
He sold me around 300 csgo keys for $1.90, nothing to shady, in fact I lent him 6 keys a while ago and he paid me back the next day, why would I assume he was a scammer alt? When I was banned, I assumed that the mods thought I traded with him WHILE he was banned on outpost, not before. Ret0rd was on outpost for a while and he was clean, if he really was a scammer alt he would've been banned. Apparently not.

I made this thread: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/41666-can-outpost-mods-do-this/
I thought mods had a higher stand of power and wouldn't be banned if they traded with an obvious scammer alt. But sirploko explained that he wasn't able to trade for 2 weeks. There was a huge shitstorm of just spam and useless comments but almost everybody there thought it was no where near obvious. Sirploko brought a few minor factors and then called is case closed that he was obviously a scammer alt.

Excluding the fact that now ret0rd is now banned on outpost, backpack, and steamrep. Before he looked like a legitamate user, in fact, I'll go bring up Steamrep's tips on how to avoid trading with obvious scammer alts.

The following clues help identify an obvious scammer alt:
Low hours of TF2/DotA with a deep knowledge of item values
-At the time I traded with him he had 100+ hours, back when I was into TF2 I learned the ropes around really quickly, at the same pace he did.

New Steam start date, but eager to trade high value items
-He was 9 weeks old at the time of the trade, but 9 weeks anyone can learn. But he wasn't just a fresh 2-week alt, with that time he built up his profile.

Private backpack, and with no rep threads
-Nothing about him was private, and he had backpack.tf trust and a csgo rep thread (can't find it rn though)

Quickselling fresh items that are less than a day old in their backpack
-He wasn't quickselling anything. $1.90 per csgo key is nothing special.

Nearly empty game backpack except for a few high value items with very recent history
-His CSGO inventory had crates, blues, purples, and reds. In his TF2 inventory he had metal, craft hats, stranges, and unusuals.

To add to the less obviousness,
-He's Steam Level 40
-Over 30 games. (Some were expensive too)
-And lots of comments on his profile.

I can understand if I bought 300 keys from this obvious scammer alt: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/2hapy/

But ret0rd's profile looked way more legit, but sirploko's argument was the spike on his inventory on backpack.tf, and the somewhat new steam date, But that took him (according to the thread) about 5 minutes to find that information out. That's not obvious.

Here's the REALLY obvious scammer alt: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/2hapy
-Level 1
-2 f2p games
-(at the time he had unusuals) Nothing but expensive unusuals with only 50 hours.

Thank you.
