Hah! I've contradicted myself? No, I proved that the attempt to "catch me in the act" was a failed one. I've clearly outlined what my opinion was on the matter and stated case and points. You've chimed in twice with nothing to contribute but random comments that had nothing to do with the problem posed. I posted in General Discussion, if this was the wrong section, feel free to point me in the direction of the right one. This was never a flame-war until you and your buddy decided I was wrong without fully understanding what the problem/question was.

As stated, norby89 has successfully resolved my issue and that was appreciated. I'd like to leave this thread alone now, so feel free to let it go.

Regardless, TF2OP doesn't work like this, the boxes show what is available, but not the quantities. If you want to buy something for 1.55 ref, you put a single refined in the wishlist and say in the notes that you are buying for 1.55, that's what they exist for.

No..... I wasn't asking for rec, so I didn't put rec.. I was asking specifically for weapons. As far as putting a Ref for 1.55 Ref, COMPLETELY understandable. If a person has a list of items, and is offering a Ref for only 1 of them and a scrap for the rest, by all means, they should put a Ref. However, if they are offering .11 Ref (a scrap) for each item on the list, why not put a scrap?

Because a scrap looks less appealing than a Ref, people who wouldn't consider a scrap sufficient wouldn't even bother looking. Bait and switch.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. I always read the notes to be sure what's shown is being offered, but it is a pain when you have to read so many when all they had to do was post the max they were offering for whatever it is in their list. When it's less (more often than not) it's a bit cumbersome.

Actually, as you stated (and I agreed), there are exceptions when the amount is the item shown, but with varying amounts. I can't post 12/20 weapons in the thread as others can't post 35 buds.

If the price/offer changes, I either mark out what has changed or mark the trade as done and make a new one. Do all the posts like this belong to people who were "too lazy" to make a new post?

I know where the notes are, that's not the point. The point is as stated. I shouldn't post a refined in the "Have" section if all I'm offering is a scrap. This is a constant thing, not a single post. What's the point of having separate metals to list if that's not what was intended? Just put a [METAL] symbol into the system and let people decide if they want to look further into the post.

Regardless, I'm done. I asked a question/posed a problem I was having as someone new to the site, feel free to disagree, but it is a ridiculous practice.

Actually, list price is about a ref. I expected a ref offer somewhere in there.

I wasn't asking you specifically if you agree with me, so feel free to disagree. I, as a fairly new user, think it makes actually finding matches or suitable parties to barter with a bit ridiculous. If you're offering a rec, post a rec. If you're offering a 10 keys, post a key. If you're offering a scrap, you shouldn't post a ref, but by your logic, that is okay.

Posting 1/2/3 refined in the image, as a "Have" and offering different amounts of refined is fine and understandable.

What I'm talking about is posting refined, a ton of keys, and offering no more than 1 or 2 Reclaimed.

Huge difference.
