Regarding online play, the room you create/join sets the difficulty, which means that it is indeed possible to join an Elite game with a Casual character or vice versa. Oh, and I play on Veteran.

I'm here to gladly invite you to the group chat, too. There is a ton of things which makes TL2 highly superior to TL1. However, if you expect THE new ARPG with THE revolutionizing mechanics, you will be disappointed. It's an ARPG like we all know it, but refined to be the purest gem out there in the market.
