Welcome to the Reapers

81st Basic information and History.

The Reapers are the Tac-recons smallest group, formed entirely of outsiders and loners working in close knit squads that lurk amongst the ruins and wastes, hunting the machines that roam them freely. They use unconventional tactics and methods to destroy and disable their superior and metal enemies, from simple ambushes, traps and hit and run tactics to long though out and devastating use of their surroundings. At some point, it become custom to rip off their defeated foes metallic heads, a custom that often spooks anyone who finds a 81sts collection of terminator skulls.

The general size of a 81st squad is eight soldiers, placed in four teams of two. These small, forced together groups often soon become close friends and family like, their jobs, harsh environments and high risk of death helping to create the tight, solid bonds between them. The two man teams become so attuned and close to each other they often act in union without word or signal, knowing what the other is doing before they do it.

To anyone outside they're group, such as the civilians and survivors spread amongst the ruins, they're distant and quiet, keeping to themselves and drawing as little attention as possible, caused by paranoid distrust of anyone outside of their family. To groups such as Tech-comm, they're wary and distrustful, avoiding contact more often than not, but keeping an observant eye on them to meet their own ends. Even to other Tac-Recon groups, such as the 83rd, they're unlikely to make open contact straight away and even more unlikely to make their own position as a 81st known. They're unlikely to help their fellow tac-recons unless it suits them, the person is deserving of it or their comrade is likely to be seriously hurt. The only real exception would be the 84th, whom the 81st makes quiet, undercover contact with in order to gain supplies and medical aid without drawing attention to themselves.

Their dislike, distrust and uncaring attitude to anyone that is not of their own is born from their near constant contact with SkyNET's machine forces, a first hand view at some the worst the war has created and often the loss of one of their own.
