Pose to Pose Exercise Guidelines
As I've mentioned before, these exercises aren't going to follow a particular order.

Have you ever heard the saying: 'Actions speak louder than words' or 'A picture says a thousand words'? In the early days of cinema, before audio was synched with film, the only way the story could be conveyed was through movement and gesture. Title cards were shown for dialogue, but it ruined the pace and audiences weren't fans of reading when they went to the cinemascope. You told the story through action, and even though it was exaggerated and comical, it defined all the characters, who they were, what they wanted and what was happening in the story. It also made the films timeless and watchable, even by today's standards.

This is true for animation, especially 3D animation. An audience needs to read what the character is doing and why they are doing it, otherwise it could lead to misinterpretation and, worst case, them losing interest.

The first step to movement is readable character poses.

The exercise for this week is: Make 3-4 interesting dynamic poses that tell a story

You may use multiple characters if you feel like, but bonus points if you can stick with one. It may also be advantageous for a later exercise ;)
