I am not really sure what to think of this game in general, but I definitely think there is far too much walking and running and far too few fast travel points and also far too much handholding in some regards and nothing where it's really needed in other regards. Also the entry point is super weak. The main protaganist is miffed and angry because a little fire started in his dull apartment because of an anomaly and now someone has to pay... But other than that it was a great experience and I had no issues or stutters with the game playing unmodded on an AMD Ryzen 9 7900, RTX 5060 TI 16 GB and 64 GB DDR5 RAM running from a 4TB NVMe.

It's free, fast and a little funny at first until it's not, at which point it sours up really fast, but it's easy to quit.

Why wouldn't I recommend it, well...

There is too much bloat and I am apparently too easily distracted by all the lights, crossovers and animations and my reflexes are somehow too slow or the trajectories are all wrong and for some odd reason I keep pushing the keyboard while I play it which also makes it harder for me to focus. There is no end of distractions caused by the game and myself and there is just too much of it all together to keep an eye on the ball that frequently bounce around like a rubber ball.

There are lots of tables to try, but unfortunately there isn't a single one of them that is worth buying, because the ball is all wrong and the table doesn't change that. The ball really doesn't feel like a metal ball at all - the physics betrays it. The ball is too light and bouncy like a rubber ball and it feels like there is a magnet in the Ball Out zone or an elastic stuck to it or the flippers are all wrong , because 9 times out of 10 when it rolls in the middle it goes straight for a Ball Out and unless I stop the ball and make a precision shot it frequently fails to shoot it around the table. The flippers seems pretty crappy somehow. Tilt is also useless. I've never been able to bounce the ball back in play from a tilt, but I've frequently noticed that the ball hit and bounce back from an invisible ceiling right below the flippers.

I don't want to unlearn physics and trajectories to learn how to play this garbage, because it's neither that funny nor that challenging to play. I lose because it's garbage physics and too much bloat and that isn't funny at all.

The whole premise of it looked pretty interesting, but it only took Pinball Arcade five minutes to restore what it took this game 10 hours to break down.

Ehm... WTF?!

So I finished it, but not really all by myself, because I never had any idea wtf I was doing at any point. There is no story, goal, sense of direction or accomplishment of any kind. There is really a background, story and narrative missing here, because none of it made any sense. What is the point, what am I trying to accomplish, what's next? This is the first time ever that I've felt completely stumped about the point and purpose about an Adventure game. I played lots of Adventure games in the nineties (Monkey Island 1 + 2, Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis, Myst, 7th Guest, Day of the Tentacle, Gabriel Knight Sins of the Father, Full Throttle all appeared before or around the time of this game), but this is by far the crappiest game I have ever encountered.

Dialogue and voices are all pretty lame.

And the music, truly horrible. Everytime I turn it off, it switch back on in the next scene. Only way to get rid of it permanently is to dive into the bass.ini file and set "music_driver=null".

I highly recommend using a walkthrough and save often.

Is it funny? No, not by a longshot, not even a shortshot or any shot for that matter. It's a total miss. Fun is amiss.

I would recommend using a walk-through, because the game isn't worth more than the first impression and the way it waste your time is painfully slow and uneventful - there is no justification for the slow crawl of walking or actualy having to climb ladders, that's just bad design.

You have a very tiny crosshair and sometimes it changes to an equally tiny interactive icon if you are able to spot it. You can't jump, you can't crouch and you can't climb ladders unless you click on the tiny icon to do so. Really bad design.

The cartoon style is pretty with vivid colours, but I am not impressed. I am not really sure what to make of this. There is a mysterious world here and it could have been a thrilling adventure, but it's like a stroll in the park underlined by the sound of the protagonist and her tone of voice sounds like a chatty carefree tourist enjoying herself on this luscious island noseying around and sometimes sounding like a naive kindergarten teacher who's just browsing through childrens toys and talking about all her little sweet kids in a loving and mischievously manner... The puzzles are pretty lame and the game is so incredibly dull and boring and full of dumb repetition. There are so many notes and letterS like correspondance lying around and each of them is written in a pretty, but unreadable style.

I can understand having to use a ladder once, but on the next go it should just skip the whole animation and teleport me straight to the point, because it's all pointless uneventful movement. Tedium is a really bad design. If there was a danger moment, I could see the point, but there is nothing but annoyance.

On several occassions the game takes over and movement speed drops to a crawl.

I completed it in about 12 hours and apart from notes I wrote along the way I can hardly even remember the game. Boring and forgettable.

Where have I seen these obnoxious fonts, piss poor design and colour schemes before? Hmmmmm... Ah, yes, Wasteland 3 by InXile Entertanment.

I really enjoyed Planescape: Torment that I played a lot back in 2000 as a good, neutral, bad and truly horrible character, but this game... It doesn't appeal to me... It's like a soulless construct...

I've only played 32 minutes and I didn't enjoy any part of it. The voice over in the beginning, muffled flat mumbling voice that I almost couldn't hear no matter how much I increased the volume... Followed by something so forgettable and unimpressive that I can't even remember what it was. There was some kind of combat that made no sense to me, but somehow I won. Then I was in room with characters, but I can't get myself to read the text, I tried, but it just felt so pointless and uninspired, because the design, fonts and colours looks so soulless, bland and boring...

Everything is so tiny and ackward...

Planescape: Torment had character and soul and the whole thing mixed together, that's not the picture I get here... Not to mention that it's all a soulless presentation with neither sound nor music that I can actually hear... Perhaps there is something, but so far it has only registered as background noise.

Really put the GRRowl in GRReat. Well, not as great as the first one, but still, let's just call it what it is a good, but misguided game with fugly ugly low-res graphics. If only the smooth thematic teasers from the storefront had been the graphics line it would have been overall pretty satisfying.

When I first played this game I thought it was an oldie that I had somehow overlooked in my "own" time, but once I realized it's a new game I was all for massive thumbs down. Really put the GRRowl in GRReat.

Seriously wtf?!

You don't see it at first, because all the teasers are tiny pictures, but those pictures are actually the native resolution of the game. Yep. Totally unbelievable. It's a pretty nice game with totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics. The low res is a really bad design decision. Inexcusably bad. Still, great game, just with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics. My eye balls stil hurts.

Darkest Dungeon

I started this review with just one sentence without parantheses:

Despite all of the annoyances (and there is a lot of those) it's a funny and surprising game (until it really starts to bug you at which point you need to take a nosedive into the setup and layout of each hero, configure, and sanitize them for stress Relief, Group healing, AOE attacks with blight and bleed and sacrifice tons of level 0 heroes just to pass time), but I think any game that can make me smile and chuckle a few times is at least worth €2,45 - even at the risk it's gonna suck in the end a price at that level makes it much easier to tolerate somehow ;)

If you take the game too seriously the stress and frustration of constant failures and ridiculously unfair RNG will probably kill you too.

Play it right and you'll succeed for the most part, but know that the game love to throw you under the bus and sometimes there is just no escape.

Stress is the number ONE cause of death in this game.

Focus on Stress Relief, Group Healing and AOE attacks with Blight and Bleed.

Played on: AMD Ryzen 5600X, RTX 2060 Super, 64 GB RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD and it was very stable experience.

A happy surprise. I enjoyed this game a hell of lot more than the lack-lustre Pillars of Eternity.

The Adventure and CRPG is just as outstanding and feels much like a kindred to Baldurs Gate II complete with companion quests and romance options and I guess it's thanks to Chris Avellone.

Despite what else this game includes I would recommend the game for the Adventure, Dialogue, Companions and CRPG.

The game is like a hybrid of Adventure and Strategy and you need to play both parts to advance the game and continue progress and the Strategy is what pretty all "else" is about and it's really short on requirements, use and necessity.

The "else": There are a lot of confusing and tiring elements in the game like the whole kingdom management part and the slow travel speed and the constant need to rest when you move on the overland map. Later in the game you get the possibility to make a portal system in your villages, which I think should have been available much sooner in the game and it really helps to spread out and put your villages close to hotspots and generally far away.

In general there is a truly annoying lack of information in the game about the game and requirements of Kingdom Management where I'd recommend googling for "Kingmaker Advisor Requirements", even though it doesn't cover it all, like the lack of advisors and the growth of your kingdom. In general I googled a lot of stuff, but I do not recommend reading spoilers and walkthroughs. On one hand I would recommend you to be a little responsible yourself and turn a blind eye to that which will ruin the exploration, but on the other hand it can be a pretty long game... So... Yeah, well, give it a try before you decide to spoil yourself and don't do it too much.

Divinity: Original Sin is an outstanding game in a completely different league than this bottomfeeder.

How did Larian Studios manage to survive as a company producing garbage like this is a total mystery.

On the one bright side, the Deathknight is the one and only highlight to speak of in this mindless hack, but it just isn't enough to compensate for the massive level of garbage.

The puzzles and the writing is not the worst I have seen, but the presentation is and the combat is much worse. Everything is a hassle. Even the most simple click is a royal pain. The targeting system is really far off at any resolution.

If the penal system would include this game as part of the punishment even life imprisonment could be cut down to just one day, before even the most hardened criminal would know what an eternity of punishment feels like.

I am clearly an immortal superhero because I endured this for 38 hours.
