A worthy time killer to flex your gray matter muscles.

This is definitely one of the best games of the year. The design, look and sounds of the game brings about a very keen sense of mystery and unknown, as it doesn't give you any dialogue, and instead gives you the story just by the environment. The gameplay is also excellent; a metroidvania style game that requires exploration of the surroundings.

Really right up my alley. The story, while a bit cliche at various points, was engaging and made me want to reach the end to solve the mystery. I also really like the art style, in particular the designs of the spirits. Really gruesome and horrifying.

While the story leaves much to be desired (if the bare minimum of bare bones counts), I really did enjoy the game as the puzzles were well crafted.

Still rough around the edges, but this is definitely a game I'd recommend getting

The game is definitely rough around the edges, but it's a small diamond in the rough, a nice horror game that harkens back to the earlier games of the genre.

The game is very interesting as it is using horror on a card game. The mechanics are easy to understand, and while it is challenging (which means you'll die a lot), what I like is that it does a unique way of starting over on a new life. The story is also very interesting, as it has very meta elements.

Village is no doubt going to be one of those games where your opinions on it depend on how you feel about the balance of action combat and horror in Village. For many, it is just right, while for others, it would no doubt feel like a downgrade from Resident Evil VII (a true lightning in a bottle that revitalized the franchise).

Personally, I think Village lives up to it's predecessor, and tells a deep and compelling story that ties into the lore surrounding the village.

This game is one of the most interesting games released this year. It just flew under the radar for me, and I'm a fan of the Amnesia games. Much like the previous games in this franchise, Frictional hit it out of the park with this one. Phenomenal story, nice voice acting, and somber soundtrack that sets the mood of the entire game.
