Ok I was originally just gonna give it a positive review for the peak character designs alone but what was that literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of an ending??? Like I was just dead the entire time apparently and caused the shadow realm to open up and then it just hard cuts to a FNF jumpscare as credits roll??? Bro?????

The length and literal baby difficulty could be forgiven if it wasn't painfully uninspired

This is one of the few games in existence where I can't see how anyone couldn't enjoy it

How the hell is this a Ubisoft product? Genuinely the best motivator I've had for learning guitar in a hot minute. A real shame they abandoned it for The Wiggles Fanclub subscription service 2 years ago.

The fact that NIN both starts and ends the game is enough to get my recommendation

Strictly giving this a positive review because they made Anubis Rex beatable w/o frame-perfect precision

As someone thats never been super into Animal Crossing or any sort of Roguelike, I'm still trying to figure out how I've already gotten 10+ hours into the game

One of the rare occasions where my only complaint with a game is that it's too short for its own good. Outside of that however, this is the best movement system I've experienced in any game ever and I hope they make some kind of DLC or even a sequel in the future

As someone who considers the original Stanley Parable to be my favorite indie game, I'm extremely mixed on this re-release. I enjoyed it a lot as I was experiencing it for the first time but the longer I sat on it, the less satisfied I got with it. It starts off super promising but then you slowly realize everything new after a certain point revolves around a bucket that you pick up at the start of each run; with the gags it brings being very hit or miss. I get that it's supposed to be a critique on remasters/remakes as a whole not adding any substantial content but it doesn't exactly work when that's exactly what you are yourself. This feels like something that should've been a $5 DLC rather than a $25 remaster that somehow took 3 years to make.

However, for the 3 or so added endings that aren't basically the same exact original endings and paths but with WACKY BUCKET SHENANIGANS!!!! , it's just as top notch as the base game (and arguably even funnier than the original w/ the Narrator being cranked up to 11). I will say though with how long it took, I was hoping for a lot more than the literal bare minimum. Would've been cool to see some of the cut endings (like the warzone) be properly made or just more unique pathways throughout the office in general.

With all that said however, I'd still overall recommend this version for someone who hasn't played the original game as 99% of the original is still untouched (Side Note: It changes the Blue Door ending w/ Firewatch & Rocket League instead of Portal & Minecraft which just isn't as enjoyable imo. Also, there's no Serious Room in this one) and the added content still adds roughly double the playtime over the original. Yet if you already own the original, either wait for a sale or just watch a YT walkthrough of the new content.
