This game has come a long way from it's release. Hello Games have gone beyond to deliver the game they originally promised and more, with no sign of stopping yet. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes casual space shooters/base builders etc.

The epitome of steam (for New Zealand) now lovingly recreated in TSC. For the games limitiations, this locomotive is packed with features and advanced scripting brings it to life. This really is a premium product.

The mighty Kb is finally home in Kb Country.

Finally, some steam on the Midland line. This representation of the NZR Ja class locomotives is a wonderful simulation of the class with some indepth scripting to bring the real life experience to your sim. She's a challenge if you're doing both the firemans and drivers' work so best read up on the controls and operating requirements before trying some of the more challenging scenarios. Looking forward to more from the NZTS Workshop team.

Complete garbage now. Odyssey just has a lot of copy and paste jobs. And the implemention of FPS shield play just ruins the whole thing. Very limited selection of FPS gear and weapons and there's no point to the armour sets as they are cosmetic only, you just need the 3 base suits and that's it.

A highly detailed route offering a stunning journey through the South Island's alps. The route is picturesque whilst also being technical. A lot of attention to detail with lots of points of interest along the route. Highly recommend this.

Crew of 4 in the Sweet Pea on our way to kill a Hammerhead for a fair sum. I was the Electrician on the sub, my fellow crew members consisted of a mechanical engineer, the captain, and an assistant who was being trained on the guns. We stocked up on explosive ammo hoping to just drift on in and deliver a volley before that damn thing could hit us, but we never expected it to turn out the way it did.

We were closing in on the location provided by the latest intel. Moving into a suitable position when all of a sudden, we get not just one hull breach, but two. Flesh cannons! We drifted too close to a dead sub, and then we were being pulled down at speed, just waiting to become the latest addition to the sub graveyard. And what more, it seemed our bounty was also helplessly trapped by this metal carcass, and it eventually disintegrated from the added stress, I'm all for easy wins, but I'd rather have our sub punted by a hammerhead than deal with these damn living wrecks....

The Captain, Mechanic, and I tooled up and started working on the breaches, and as soon as we were done with the temporary repairs, the Captain suited up to headed out to assess the situation, and attempt to free the sub. We all kept up with communication over the comms, whilst frantically running around trying to keep up on the hull breaches, but it wasn't soon after she left that she was stung by something, and felt her body getting stiff. Must have been paralysis, as even though she made it to the airlock in time, she was in no fit state to go out again. The assistant provided aid, but we didn't have anything to combat the paralysis.

Next up was the Mechanic. He suited up, extra oxygen bottles, plasma cutter which the Captain previously forgot, scooter, and weapons. At this point the flesh cannon tethers broke, but were followed swiftly with a fresh fleshy tether. Cutting them from inside the sub was fruitless as they'd just pop another through, adding to the holes the previous anchor left. The Mechanic managed to take out some of the anomalies that stung the captain, and started exploring the wreck. Unfortunately, he met his fate, as more of the anomalies appeared, and he eventually ran out of ammo and overwhelmed just as he reached the airlock. He was already deceased when we pulled him in.

The assistant.....well, he tried to fix a breach in the forward section where the depth charges are stowed, and....hmmm I should really rewire the door, but the flood sensor triggered, and locked him in the compartment. Suffocated, I just couldn't get to rewiring the switch quick enough.

So in the end, it was the paralysed yet stable captain, and myself. Still tethered to the living hulk...but not wanting to accept my fate, I suited up and gathered a complimentary assortment of weaponry and tools that would get the job done. The hulk below us would be dark, full of mysteries and abyssal horrors, treacherous. I leave the sub, and scoot around to the entrance of the wreck.

The riot shotgun clears the first lot of foes, and I entered the top deck. I happened across what looked like a fleshy cocoon encasing what I believed to be the ammo auto-loader for the cannon. I set to work with the plasma cutter, slicing through the flesh, severing it's nerves. The bright blue flame just sliced through it like butter, but there was a lot of it, and it wasn't until I had cut most of the fleshy mass away, that it lost control of the cannon. One down, One to go, and the rest...

Miraculously, other than the entrance, I was spare of any hostile organisms, and left alone to carry out what must be done. They could be toying with me, giving me the illusion of hope, that as soon as I sever the last cannon from the organism that had consumed the hulk, that some horror would be unleashed as some sadistic reward and consume me, turning me into one of them, just a mindless husk. I located the second turret, and freed it of the rotten flesh. I then descended to the lower levels where I found two sets of organs, and the brain. For the Mechanic, for the assistant, for the captain. This hulk would be liberated.

Knowing our vessel was freed, I made haste to return as the autopilot will have already started correcting the subs position, however in the time I had been busy cutting through rusted bulkhead doors, and flesh, more anomalies had appeared, my exit was no more and I had to find another way. I remembered that there was at least one bulkhead door still sealed on the other end of the shuttle, so I headed that way, scooter out front and turned up to max to put some distance between me and the pursuing death. Plasma torch out, I barely make it through, and head up, up, far from the shuttle leaving it behind in the darkness. I make it back....but....I know this isn't over, not while we're still on this moon.

The captain and I make our way to the nearest colony tomorrow, we will be able to restock and resupply. The occupant of the shuttle we rendezvoused with kindly shared their last anti-paralyse shot. The captain made a partial recovery and is fit enough to take us to the next location. But it will be tough.

Someday I will to return home....

The graphical refresh, and modern features breath new life into these classic games. It's amazing to see the differences during the game, the smooth transition from old graphics to new graphics at the touch of your space bar.
