Couldnt figure out how to use FIRESTARTER on wood.

Realized I had to go to build tab to BUILD a CAMPFIRE. You need four stone to I ran around for 20 minutes looking for one at a time sporadically.

By the time I got the fire started I spent five real minutes standing next to the fire, and this had my HP slowly tick down to 0/1160 HP. This didn't kill me and idk why.

This is where I decided this was a negative review. Standing next to the fire gave a moodle saying my Body Temp was rising. However it never did. I don't want to play a game where either - stats are given but don't matter, or are bugged and just simply don't work.

I rushed around and felt accomplished and then got nothing from it. At 95.4F my character will sit in a dead save until I open this back up hoping to see a difference.

List of Good:
It's Runescape flavored
First 3 hours were fun

List of Bad
It's just repainted Valheim and I didnt really like Valheim
Walmart Elden Ring
Horrid controller UI/controls

If I am fighting more than one baddy I will not win
Enemies will combo you and you cant do anything
You get a message "you are being hunted" and enemies spawn right behind you and combo you
The "level system" is useless to the player, where it only takes account for what armor you are wearing
Even the easiest enemies are tanks that take only a few hits to kill you
when you die you drop everything
to get it all back you have to stroll thru all enemies to get it back
all enemies walk only slightly slower than your run
cannot outrun wolves and they are everywhere

I am 11 hours in and still only have the three starting weapons (Staff, club, knife)
you are seemingly given only wizard armor, but I dont know if making a bow unlocks archery armor
I cannot mine or chop any of the next tier of materials like oak trees or tin/copper rocks
I have no idea how to progress
If the game continues like Valheim, I will get some item from the first boss that allows me to mine next tier
I can only imagine the game was built solely around multiplayer as being solo is very boring and hard

I currently need to go thru a tier 4 area in tier 2 wizard gear
all enemies 1-2 hit me and tank everything from any RPS weapon
I have no idea at all what I should be doing aside from objective markers that are in poison/lightning area
I give up

I really wish I hadn't spent $30 on this
in a bit when the next update comes out I will be too bored of the loop to really enjoy it

probably way more I could say but I forgot
bye I love you all

I can't get past the first hour of gameplay after the tutorial. I have been mortally injured just walking around so many times I have just given up and uninstalled. I'm only glad I played while it was free.

Inescapable cougars that you can hit in the head with a stone hatchet at least five times. I'm fine when there are big enemies in games that are meant to be almost minibosses. But the combined attributes of them being littered everywhere, and your dude being able to swing 5 times before being so exhausted he can't dare to swing again, this game is just a no go for me. Also once they find you, I have not found a way to run away or fend them off, hitting them in the head with sharpened stone or bone does not make them run away.

I kept going back to the same camp and finding a map that lead me east as it was my only hint as to what I should even be doing, it was apparently the wrong thing to be doing as it had many cougars everywhere. Maybe I'll come back to this game in the future, but I can't play a game right now that is just "Got you!" gimmicks.

LOYALTY DISCOUNT!*

*to buy the first game for $25+ dollars since I already own this game. Plus! two characters that maybe my drunk ass doesn't care about (like Kit Fisto). I Stan the two games separately for $20. BFII is better than BFI. Just buy this game to have classic fun and ignore the new bundle bs they are advertising.

Maybe someday Steam will make an exception to the 2 hour gameplay refund rule. If only I hadn't fallen asleep drunk playing this, I would have my $14.99 back to spend on something worthwhile.

This is nothing like I thought it would be, guess a lesson is learned not to blindly purchase a game a decade late just to "finally play it".

This game is barren. The things that are there are very early physics sandbox levels of entertaining and last only a minute.

If I could, in my roughly two hours of gameplay, recall any part of the game as unique into a list it would be as follows:
Fly a blimp
Fly airplane with machine gun (there's nothing to shoot at)
I sat here for five mins with no new thoughts on what I liked so I gave up

Here's a list of ♥♥♥♥ I hate now lol:
Walking is SLOW
Can't run for more than 5 seconds without falling down and farting (this is a mechanic not a quirk of the physics engine)
It's hard to leave the barren starting area and then when you do it's even MORE barren
Cars are especially slow given the expanse of wasteland you are given
If you are in a body of water for more than 30 seconds you are surrounded by alligators or sharks that swarm and eat you (this is terrible for exploring as spawn points are tens of minutes of walking away from one another)
Probably more that I can't put into words or I am bored

goodbye i love you all please dont spend money on this unless it's a DEEP sale I really can't recommend this to ANYONE

Gameplay in itself is mostly excellent. Dying calls for skill loss but loss is negligible, as well as skills providing little noticeable benefit, and dying is mostly uncommon or you gain your skills back before dying a second time.

If I were to ask for anything while this game develops it would be more building options. As it is, shelters are merely that, a shelter. So, decorating comes naturally as you aren't trying to build to accommodate for too many things.

Your shelter requires:

Roof and walls around workbench
Roof over campfire for protection against rain (optional)

That's it, everything else is free to customize to your liking. My problem lies in variety, you have the basics and honestly it is enough, however limited to:

walls and half walls
two sizes of floor
horizontal, vertical, and angled beams
normal roof tiles and a couple corners
stairs

An issue also lies in that a few tiles are made only for one orientation, such as triangular walls only pointing up, never down.

With the reviews having risen since the dark times of save deletion and forced windowed mode when alt-tabbing, I decided to buy the game on sale and put some time into it.

I enjoyed it and I was glad I spent money on it, until 3 hours into the game I decided to do a hard save that crashed my game, deleted the previous 1 1/2 hour hard save, and reverted my last auto save to that which was 30 minutes into the game. I was left with 2 1/2 hours erased and one autosave that wasn't worth starting again.

If you plan on purchasing this game, feel free to do so, but be aware that it's a rough port to PC, and you could have hours of gameplay erased.

Annoying achievements: Get to a new level? 10 achievements for just reaching the level. Finished that level? 10 More identical achievements.

Puzzles, at least for the first 13 levels, are one click or two clicks and they are solved. Kinda wimpy as the concept isn't hard to grasp. Can only assume the other 12 games are exactly the same.

If this was the last $0.69 game on Earth I wouldn't buy it again.
