I absolutely love this game.
I'm a movement player, so I enjoy games like this that allow you to make quick split second decisions to make perfect landings to maximize speed.

My first time doing endless mode, got boost pog as my first item, and at world 160, with only one activation of boost items, I had 1,795% boost. Was fun going for the limits of the game. Handled it pretty well.

I only have one gripe, but it's not even the game. It's just the people hating on the game. Mostly when it comes to difficulty or the generation. Because the difficulty is perfectly fine to me, same with the generation. Some worlds are a bit difficult, I'll say that, but it's procedural generation, it's a given some may generate bad.
But say, complaining that you can't hit a down slope or perfect landings, learn to choose when you want to dive, or pick up other abilities, such as Sage's Cowl. I've been running it constantly and reached over 514m/s with proper dive placement.
It's a given people will hate simple things, especially BRAND NEW THINGS, game was released 8 days ago as of this review. It was released well, built and run perfectly fine and polished. Compared to some AAA games everyone likes to hold on a throne.
One purchase, short and sweet story with a fun engaging gameplay loop. It's my number one game right now.

I'm super happy to see Stalker's style hasn't been butchered with this.
I absolutely love this so far, and while I hope to see more optimizations happen for some lower PCs, since running at the lowest settings with DLSS, frame Gen and what not, still barely hitting a decent 80. Also Frame gen feels more laggy at the "80" it shows, since feels like 50. but so far, even at 50 frames, I'm enjoying the game none the less.

I can't wait for the multiplayer DLC, and I also hope it's cross play, so I can play with some buds on xbox

As someone who played this since the first beta that was release.
People that are complaining about things like disconnection and stuff, I can't really say much on. I have yet to have an crashes or issues with the game, outside of usually low FPS, but that's mostly due to my ultrawide 1440p monitor.

I have one thing to say, people need to start realizing what they're complaining about, isn't an issue.
Thinking this game will compete to Warframe or Destiny 2, that's a LARGE stretch. This game will not stand against those games. Welcome to playbases. But this doesn't mean the game will be bad. It's still very much fun, personally more fun than those two.

But here's my main gripe with people in the reviews. If you are complaining about the "monetary predatory" of this game, you need to seek help. Warframe and Destiny have much steeper prices than this game. You can buy skins, Descendants (which can also unlock for free), boosters, etc..
This game is NOT AT ALL, praying on your wallet. Figure it out. Learn how marketing and everything works, before you start complaining how a game uses real money.

It's a good game that does it's mechanics very well, for what they are. Stop complaining about things that aren't actually issues..

Also, don't complain about the game not "giving you what you expected" You played the most recent beta, right? I heavily bet people who complained about the content capacity did. Guess what, I got to play 3 zones in the beta. I expected nothing big, as they were technical tests, to make sure everything was working correctly. So guess what, you have a majority of the story right there. You expected more content? You set yourself up for disappointment, so you can't put the negativity on the developers for your insolence. Grow up, stop hyping games up without understanding the possibilities of stuff being different than you think.
For example, I can't wait to see what BO6 will turn out like in the reviews.

Early Access Review
As someone who's essentially owned this from the start, due to one of my friends telling me of it.
It's interesting to see how much potential this game had and how much I looked forward to seeing it release, when it was announced.

But sadly, due to the lack of any updates, missed release date, cancellation of content, then massive radio silence, I kind of forgot about the game. I'll be honest, while I'm sad to see the money I spent, just go down like this, considering the servers will shut down sometime next year, I enjoyed what little time I spent on this game.

Developers, allow the community to host their own servers, while I know how big of an ask that is, it's better than just turning this into a paper weight. There are many people that would love to continue playing this game, make mods for it or, just essentially, become the new nurturers of the game and finish what you left off on.

I know, all I can do is ask and hope, but there's many spots this game hit for me and I would personally love to see it continue on. Please, PLEASE, reconsider the conclusion you have come to and allow the community to shed at least some light onto the abyss this has turned into.

There's a lot of potential, but I just can't get myself to love this game.
I like everything about it, except the Enemies and combat system.
It's fast pace, but just feels too clunky to really have some sort of impact.

Swinging the Scythe and practically becoming stationary makes the combat feel slow and leaves the player to make split second decisions to possibly dash or not before most likely being hit.
The Boss battles left me finding the normal level enemies more dangerous just because they were harder to read, especially when you encounter the small closed off sections.
The Spells were something I didn't really use, since they didn't feel useful, so I stuck with the Scythe almost all the time. The other weapons didn't feel any different and I couldn't find a situation where they were a better option.
I ended up having issues with the movement when trying to dash and slash, but I'd end up canceling my attack or just not at all being able to have my input be registered. So I was just going in a loop trying to hit a couple enemies.

I know it's in Early Access and is subject to change, but I just can't get into the flow this game provides currently. It looked amazing and felt nice, but the combat, being the biggest part of the game, doesn't feel right.
It might to other players, but this threw me off too much to really find it enjoyable, outside of the visuals.
I feel bad saying it, but personally it feels like the main features of the game were a little over looked, where as visuals seemed to be the priority.

Love the game more than the first.
I love the idea of malfunctions.
Although, yes there's a warning, I had a bit of anxiety trigger, during the start of the first threat tape I got. After that, I was fine getting one of them.

I love the way this one play out, with the sleep turrets, as it makes me play slower and i love that extra bit of down time. Although, I'm not very far into the game, and constantly die in Asleep and get demoted again, I love playing.

Its relaxing, to just sit back, listen to the sounds and build a small little town. maybe add a lore to the town and add a little spice to it

I should have written this awhile ago.
But it's good, great and fun.
Destroy buildings, just go blow things up.

Now dont get me wrong, i enjoy this game. I love this game as a sport to watch. Watching the videos of pros doing all these aerials and really well planned moves. Just not happy with this transition.

kinda not happy with the transition. as most people aren't.
I've had this game for awhile, never really played it much.
But the move to epic (the game being free now), after 5 years of people paying for the game, really hurt me to see.
since there's people i know on steam, who want RL, and refuse to get the epic games launcher, so they cant get a copy of RL on steam anymore. and I am unable to gift them it.

I would have expected better and the continuation of the game, in its previous form.
I understand i dont know the full details on why the transition was made, but knowing i loved this game as a sport to watch, and seeing it launch free and being removed from the store, after a year since i 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 my copy for the second time, since i had refunded my copy 4 years ago when i didnt know how much fun i could have in the game.

Now i have two questions for the devs, i know wont be answered.
What will you do with the game from here?
What will you do to get custom maps into the game? since epic doesnt have a workshop like steam.
