Forget Game Of The Year, this is Game Of The Millenia.

So, to start off DOOM Eternal is a great game. I would recommend it to anyone who likes fast paced shooters. there are some pros and cons to it.

PROS:
-Great gameplay
-Long (might be a con but a pro in my opinion)
-Has a story unlike older doom games
-Great variety of enemies to beat up both new and old
-Goofy unicorn skin for Doomguy
-Tutorials to help you unlike 2016
-insanely good music
-variety of weapons to choose from including a chainsaw for small enemies and a giant energy sword for bigger ones
-intense difficulty curve after the tutorial on medium to high difficulties
-awesome cut scenes
-two story expansion dlcs
-an intense set of multiplayer gamemodes

CONS:
-Push-foward combat (no healing from standing still which i think is awesome but this might turn people off of the game)
-Shotgun only gets 24 shots or 12 for the super shotgun instead of 60/30 in 2016 for the shotgun and super shotgun
-ammo is scarce and you can hold barely any
-after you kill a boss it starts showing up as a semi-uncommon enemy in larger fights which disrupts the flow of combat (especially the Marauder boss)
-levels take 45 minutes to 2 hours to beat with thirteen levels (at least for me)
-you have to constantly switch weapons and if you fat finger the wrong hotkey and switch to the wrong weapon, it could literally be a death sentence on high difficulties
-no SnapMap

In conclusion, DOOM Eternal is awesome with a few minor (and major) flaws that may turn players away. it is brutally difficult if you cant think fast and/or hotkey properly. I guess my best bit of advice for this game is to keep moving and never let your guard down. now go rip and tear some demons

Its a fun little game on the surface and gets really fun once you beat the eyeball dude

I highly recommend. Unlike Factorio where aliens are the main enemy, This game is a constant battle with electricity. The world is full and beautiful and thre are 350+ mods that you can play to make it even better.
