Couple of Fixes to issues you might run into are below.

Ultimately, the game is good but it has some issues, mainly at the moment the issues lie within the launching of the game. It has a tendency to decide it doesn't want to launch. Usually to do with BattleEye saying it's an old version even when it's not.

To fix that, just go to you your files, it will usually be (Program Files(x86), Steam, steamapps, common, DuneAwakening, DuneSandbox, Binaries, Win64, BattleEye) and then scroll down should be the bottom file that says to uninstall battle eye. Double click that and uninstall it. After it does, Launch the game. Have Task Manager up so that you can End Task on the game launching after the battleye begins to reinstall. You Don't have to end task, but if you don't the game will freeze up on the launch video like 80% of the time and it will also usually freeze your entire PC when that happens. At least in my experience. Then you'll have to power it off and turn it back on. Now the game will launch fine after that even if it happens, but it's annoying. So, I'd recommend ending task on the game launch as soon as battle eye begins to reinstall, it's just easier.

Another Issue
After 141.3 hours I couldn't play anymore because when I launched the game, after the little intro video I would get a "Confirm Privacy Policy" screen and even after clicking the link and trying to press confirm idk 1,000 times, restarting my game, restarting steam, restarting my pc, verify file integrity, contact support who had ignored my message, I couldn't actually get into the game to play.

How I fixed it.
Had to delete the game and files, wipe my PCs cache, make sure the entire folder in steam for the game on my pc was deleted, then restarted my pc, reinstalled the game. Launched the game, it froze on the intro video (which was after the battle eye reinstalled itself, seems to be a common theme with that and it freezing after) had to restart my PC again, because it decided to freeze my entire PC and not just the game (never had that happen before with this PC on any game lol) After that, the Confirm Privacy window didn't return. ust reinstalling and redownloading the game alone didn't work, had to make sure EVERYTHING pertaining to the games files where gone from my PC before redownloading.
Anyways, that's what worked for me.

(Side Note: days later support finally replied to my ticket, saying they resolved the issue and the game should launch now. Which was a lie, they either did nothing and saw i was in the game or did something that didn't make a difference either way because i had already fixed it myself and got back into the game the same day I tried to get their help.) Now, I'm not saying their support is incompetent, it could just be they have so many tickets to deal with because of issues like this they just coulnd't get to it faster. Which is why I'm leaving the fixes I used that worked for me.

Already filled with modders, so if you're expecting to get away from that by going to Enhanced versus Legacy, don't bother. Their Battleye doesn't work at all.

Game is over all half decent play wise.
However, I have to say I don't recommend it due to forced agendas in a game.
Male Characters come with unchangeable female hairstyle, feels like forced trans-agenda. Likewise, females have a hairstyle that, while feminine-ish are definitely more masculine leaning. Then there is the Non-Binary third gender option. Which just is fine, but supports the theory of them having an agenda here.

I mean honestly... What happen to the days when a video game was just a video game? We don't need everything to be about agendas and politics. Can't you just let entertainment be entertainment? Bit ridiculous honestly.

But yeah, overall don't recommend for forced agendas and the game is only semi-decent.

Yes, you should play the game. Stop asking questions. Go play.

Decent game, it's basically exactly what you'd expect.

When I originally purchased this garbage, you could have plots. Now, you can't have a plot unless you pay a monthly subscription? tf?
No prior warnings about this back when I purchased it and had I ever known this I NEVER would have bought it.

At least not right now FOR SURE, maybe in the future, maybe.

Pros:
Zero
There's not any.
It's trash.

Cons:
World is full of ugly bases, they're littered all over.
Played for an hour and never saw a single other person, not once.
My PC exceeds the recommended specs, yet world is still running like a janky crackhead with half a leg. (probably due to the abundance of crap bases scattered around everywhere.)
New Character perspective, you are super squishy, a boar could probably kill you if you aren't good at combat. I somewhat tested to see how easy it is to die. So, new characters you can block with shield from a boar attack about 5 times and then your stamina is gone. Take about that many hits from the boar without blocking, you're dead. Granted, I don't think the boar is difficult to kill at all, but if you suck at combat, you probably will die to a boar lol. If you really suck, you'll probably die to a fox XD lol. Everything else will probably clap your cheeks until you get better gear, didn't play that long, wasn't worth it.

So OVERALL 4/10
Will refund it.

I'll say this, overall it's a good game, especially if you have people to play with.
Combat might take a little getting used too if you're not familiar with that type of combat.
But, I do recommend the game.
I'd say it's a 7/10
That said...

All Cons from here out.

If you like being able to do solo dungeon content, don't waste your time. This game forces you to do party content.
Personally in my opinion this is absolute garbage and it has been one of the sole reasons I have abandoned good games in the past. It will also likely be why I toss this game aside as well, despite the fact it's good. If I have to cut out pretty much all end game content because I'm a solo player, then there's no point even bothering with it anyways.

So, if you're a solo player only, don't waste your time here you'll just end up quitting once you hit end game. Or play it for it's solo content story and then toss it aside after. Not worth buying anything from the store if thats what your objective is also.

Maybe one of these days developers will pull their collective heads out of their backsides and realize, solo players would like something to do as well. But until then, enjoy getting shafted on that aspect.

While I do technically recommend the game, there is one EXTREME problem with this game. The Battle pass, while I get it, so many games have it now. I get it, it's fine. BUT NOT when you have to buy a battle pass individually per character. THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!! I absolutely HATE that. It should be per account, NOT per character. Having it set up per character, ON TOP of having server limits that once reached your friends cant join you.
So, that means if you buy it on one character and then a friend wants to play and can't join your world. You now have to choose not to play with them, play and lose your battle pass or buy it again. That is beyond ridiculous and greedy. It's absolutely horrendous. That is just so stupid and uncalled for and to be honest it is likely going to be one of the sole forces in driving people away from the game once the "new" wears off.

Good game, BUT IT Needs to add bowfishing, this some lame bs that it doesn't have it.
