Not for everybody. Travel times can be long and the primary loop can get repetitive. However if you enjoyed Redemption you will most likely enjoy this one. However this comes from someone who put a load of time into Redemption 1 so take some nostalgia bias into account.

Optimisation ain't great though. That stuff has to be fixed.

Spent 5 hours voicing the characters together with friends. Honestly the most intricate and exciting RP experience i've had in my finger lickin' life. 10 overprived chickens out of 10

The Good:
Game feels great, runs buttery smooth and looks good. I'm honestly pretty impressed how well the game looks given that it is mostly only a remaster with most of the improvements being the textures. Load times are short, and overall it's good fun.

The not so good (but not bad imo):
The customisation options are a bit limited. No different audio setups, not able to keep the classic viewmodel with the centered crosshair (with the centered crosshair the viewmodel takes up too much of the screen but the classic crosshair feels awkward to use), no advanced graphics options etc. I was honestly expecting a lot more in this area and that's a bit disappointing.

t;dr Overall really solid game, but could do with some more user customiseable settings.

For some reason i bought this instead of utilising the free weekend. Why? I have no idea. But happy i bought it. The first game went a bit too far in with the mechanics for me to be really able to start playing, being unfamiliar with the board game. This one seems a lot more simplified and streamlined without feeling dumbed down.

If I had to name some gripes it would be the voice acting lwcking on some points, and the HUD being a bit crap in my opinion. The rest is excellent.

My favourite aspect is the art direction and the use of colors. I especislly love the cadia scenery, with the red and warm colors really contrasting the darkness of space excellently.

No issues whatsoever. Then again, who still uses an antivirus outside of Windows defender anyway?

Imagine a new zoo tycoon but actually not trash and with Dinosaurs.

Campaign does a lot of interesting things to keep it fresh even after 8 other campaigns.
