Game has bots now, so you can play by yourself or with one buddy. They also added checkpoint doors, which some people might hate, but hey, if you're skilling through maps with no issues anyways, there should be no problem with adding in a potential time saver to people who are less good at the rundown.

Games are meant to be fun, and for people who aren't good at them or don't have people to play with, the checkpoints are a good accessibility option.

With that out of the way, the game is still a great stealth-horror game and is still pretty difficult if you don't prepare before a horde. The bots are great for me personally because I hate playing with randoms, and not many of my friends are willing to play a map of it. Although, the bots are about as smart as an old shoe and will often get themselves stuck behind a door that you just closed, but hey, at least they can take and use (on your command) their equipment.

The audio still freezes sometimes, and the outdoor zone lags on higher settings, but other than that, it runs pretty smoothly. Sound design is still great, letting you know exactly where an enemy is just by sound alone.

If you plan on buying this game for solo play, wait for a sale. If you're planning on playing with friends, obviously still wait for a sale, but it's still worth it. it's great when you can blame someone for missing a melee attack instead of blaming your own incompetent self!

How is this game still only 10 dollars?

If you don't have it, pick it up even if you need to wait for a sale, it's one of the best indie games on this platform.

FIX MULTIPLAYER

Despite Destiny 2 using an anti-cheat which has support for Proton, Bungie has gone the route of banning anyone trying to run this game on anything other than Windows 10/11. On top of that, their monetization of this game has gotten out of control, and the quantity and quality of content has dropped significantly over the years as they started working on too many projects and laying off too much of their staff, multiple of which worked on (one of) their best expansions.

Do not support this game, and do not support this company. They may have gotten hundreds of dollars from me over the years, but they don't need to get any from the person reading this review.

Game is awesome, online was shutdown just like every other EA game other than Battlefront 2 (The good one).
