It's a really fun game & really innovative gameplay wise, the only issue is almost everyone you play with is dumber than a box of rocks. Free though so still worth a shot if this is something down your alley.

Make all the DLC free too PLEASE

Better than the sequel, no bots! :)

There is nothing I can say that hasn't been said. This is simply the greatest Metroidvania ever made. It's not super complex, as far as Metroidvanias go it's actually fairly simple. However, the simple things are what this game has nailed down. Starting off it's fairly slow but once you start to get the movement upgrades the game really starts to take shape. Just moving from place to place feels amazing, pogoing an enemy, dashing & pogoing another enemy is an absolutely amazing experience and makes your brain release dopamine every time you do it. The bosses in Hollow Knight are almost perfect, just when you're about to give up and uninstall the game is right when you triumph. The story in Hollow Knight is hidden and you have to seek it out but once you figure it out it's jaw dropping & you feel like you're taking a spot in a Myth. If you haven't played Hollow Knight yet you need to play it, it is a must play for anyone trying to play the cream of the crop.

Firewatch is a beautiful little Gabe with a touching story. The devs did a great job in showing a touching story and not telling you one. This makes it much easier to get immersed into the world. The only issues I have with the game are technical ones such as when you’re viewing the map and press the run button it doesn’t do anything, you have to put down the map then press the run button. If small issues like this were fixed the game would be near perfect. However, $20 for a game that’ll only last a few hours is quite steep. I’d recommend picking it up on sale.

Solid killer, best one BHVR has made since Wesker and for $5 it’s a great deal. This chapter feels like it was made with care and not just for a quick buck. If you like Chucky or stealth killers this is a must.

This is hands down the best DLC. The tank designer allows for much more dynamic gameplay and custom making your own tanks is a ton of fun. The logistics rework is one of the best thing to ever happen to the game and now when you have no supply it's much easier to find out why and to fix the problem. The doctrines being changed to use XP instead of using up a research slot is a great change and should have been how the doctrines worked from day 1. The officer corps is a great addition to the game and provides an actual use to your command power. The cherry on top of these features are the outstanding focus trees added to the game. The Soviet focus tree is great and if RP is your thing it's probably the best in the game as you can choose to be offensive, defensive, keep socialism in one country as Stalin, spread the world revolution as Trotsky or just get rid of them both and restore the monarchy. Poland has imo one of the best focus trees in the game. You can restore The Commonwealth, make a union with Romania, join and then backstab the Germans, and my personal favorite put a bear in charge. The Baltic nations have good focuses like the alternate way to restore The Commonwealth with Lithuania, uniting with Finland as Estonia or creating Ostland as Latvia. These aren't as good as Poland and the Soviet Union imo but those are very high bars and these are the Baltic Nations so what do you expect. In general if you're new to the game and can only get one DLC get this one. It has the best new mechanics and it's focus trees are some of the best in the game.

I want my life back

Probably the worst value DLC. The Greek focus tree has Byzantium but after you form it you don't get any focuses to expand further so you don't have anything to do yourself and you've likely already gotten into a war with Italy so joining the Axis isn't usually an option. Turkey has the Ottomans which are pretty fun and Turan which is pretty much just a world conquest. The only focus tree that excels imo is Bulgaria. Bulgaria can form a united Balkans which is pretty fun if you are willing to wait for it and form the Third Bulgarian Empire which is one of the most fun paths in the game imo. However unless you really want to play on of these nations for whatever reason I wouldn't recommend this DLC and even if you do really want to play one of these countries wait for it to go on sale as $10 for this DLC is the worst deal in this game.

Wesker is the gold standard of DBD killers. If every killer was as powerful and as fun to play as and against as Wesker the game would be much better. The only issue is the devs apparently only had 7 minutes to spare to fix Wesker's bugs but if you can take him being a buggy and being killswitched because the devs can't get their ♥♥♥♥ together then he's one of the best killers in strength and fun factor.
