Positives:
Game looks pretty

Negatives:
- Clunky controls
- Cryptic mechanics where 50% of the time they are explained in loading screens and the other 50% you just have to find out or look up
- Directionless gameplay
- Unrewarding exploration
- Unfair enemy spawns and seemingly random behavior that makes no sense
- And lastly, the story and lore is so vague that I couldn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about it

This game felt more frustrating than immersive and no... it doesn't get better so if you hate it near the start, drop it.

Just got my remake-based Romancing SaGa 2 rated 9/10 I know this is statistically above the mean but still can’t help but feel that due to the phenomena known as review culture that 10/10 is closer to what people perceive as average as the middle value of a set or which value is seen most frequently within the set. If it is the latter then this is actually a criticism against qualitative modes of measurement, like ordinal data to which values are not derived relative to a true zero but instead amongst themselves, therefore making them arbitrary.
