Gameplay is great. The performance is mid, especially in city areas. Recommend wait for further patches or a sale.

I played the campaign only, can't speak for the multiplayer! Unfortunately the third instalment is not as strong as MW2 in my opinion. The opening mission is phenomenal but the quality does drop off after that. The new "open combat" missions feel very out-of-place, given that up until now the MW campaigns have almost exclusively been carefully crafted linear missions. I guess they were trying something new, but for me it feels like a miss - the UI, level design, enemy placement and reinforcements, and the loot cache systems all feel more like a battle royale game than the kind of content you would expect from a MW campaign level. The story in this campaign is confusing as hell too - they brought back characters who had previously died without any explanation, and the central plot (find and stop several missiles being used to target civilians) is almost identical to the plot from MW2. Overall this instalment of the series is a disappointment for me.

Played the campaign only, so I can't rate the multiplayer. I think the campaign for MW2 is a huge step up from an already impressive campaign in MW1. The MW1 campaign suffered because it kept stuttering and the cutscenes would screw up, but that doesn't happen in MW2 at all. I also think the story, characters, and levels are better in MW2. Highly recommended, one of my favourite FPS campaigns so far!

Played the campaign only, so I can only speak for that experience. The game constantly stutters and even completely freezes for several seconds (it happens every few minutes) despite being installed on an M.2 drive with a GPU and CPU that exceed the recommended specs. It also has a bug where it will play two cutscenes on top of each other, or it will freeze mid-cutscene and the audio will desync from the video. The campaign is really cool and the gameplay is very intense with plenty of cool action moments, I just wish the game wouldn't keep freezing mid-gameplay or mid-cutscene.

Early Access Review
Really great puzzle/clicker game!

Already plenty of fun mechanics to unlock and strategies to learn despite it being in Early Access. Best part is, unlike the traditional idler games, there doesn't seem to be a requirement to wait hours upon hours to progress - your resources generate at a reasonable rate so you get to focus more on the gameplay instead of leaving it to run overnight. There are always goals to work towards, new spells or alchemical recipes to unlock, new upgrades that synergise with other upgrades, etc. etc. Lots to discover.

Music is especially good! I love just jamming out to it while I wait for my resources to refill. Sound effects are nice too.

The art style is simplistic but executed very well imo. Takes a while to orient yourself at first but after a while you'll be clicking through menus with ease.

I'm looking forward to finishing the beta content and then awaiting future updates!

It takes a bit of time to learn how it works (I would recommend keeping a beginner's guide open if you're new to the game) but once you get past that initial learning stage the game becomes incredibly fun and addictive and challenging.

The basics of the game are simple - mine out an underground fortress, grow food, brew alcohol, dig for metals and gems, build bedrooms and dining halls and workshops, craft trade goods, defend from enemies, etc. But as the game progresses it gets more complex and challenging - you might dig deeper and find underground caverns full of dangerous monsters, or you might offend an elven trade caravan by trying to sell them something made from a tree you cut down, or one of your dwarves might go insane due to its needs going unsatisfied, or an undead elephant might show up and start brutally murdering everything in its path.

You'll no doubt encounter multiple near-extinction events before your settlement is eventually destroyed and you get to start again, but this time with new hard-earned knowledge that will help make your next fortress bigger, stronger, and more likely to survive. There is no win condition, you just play until you lose, and that's why the game's motto is "Losing is fun".

Definitely recommend if you enjoy games such as Rimworld, Banished, Going Medieval, Foundation, or Space Haven. Even if you haven't tried anything like it before, there's a reason Dwarf Fortress is an incredibly well-known, well-respected and influential game.

I like the combat, especially once you start to unlock cool abilities and grenades. The worldbuilding and story are great too. I like that this is an XCOM-style tactical game but instead of having generic soldiers you have a party of unique characters with actual personalities.

Make sure you also install the Moguri mod, which upgrades the background images too!

Really fun 2d platformer / metroidvania. Cute characters, creative combat, challenging puzzles, interesting story.
