My current playtime has been spent entirely on trying to get a playable amount of FPS. Higher than recommended specs in my rig and, with all quality settings on low + performance upscaling + fullscreen, I am getting about 50 FPS at best before even having reached any enemies (which I can only assume hurts performance even more). Wait on a performance patch unless your hardware is on the newer side.

After clearing all of the achievements after the Bone Zone update and killing the game's "unkillable" enemy in roughly 25 hours I can safely say you will get your money's worth and beyond out of this game. The amount of build combinations, stages and their unique enemies, modifiers, challenge modes, achievements, and even secret characters can offer dozens if not hundreds of hours of gameplay that allows you the freedom to make every match different than the last.

Fun little puzzle game if you have an hour or so to burn; a few puzzles and the "final boss" are certainly difficult, and you won't be able to just "first-try" every level. Completely free to play and is a fun way to burn the better part of an hour. Without going into crazy detail, this game is a solid 8/10.

A short, thought-provoking game that has a clear intent that is well-executed throughout. Rather than say what I like about the game, which has been said by dozens of other people, I'd rather address a few of the complaints I see from people in the negative reviews.

>The game fails to represent mental illness
Though a valid criticism, not all mental illness is the same. I've had depression for years, and the majority of the ideas and emotions this game conveys are things I've felt and experienced throughout my life. If you don't relate to it, that's fine; everyone has different experiences.

>The game manipulates files on your PC
I didn't experience this, with the exception of a single image on my desktop. No wallpaper changes, no file editing, nothing of that sort.

>The graphics aren't good, regardless of setting.
I like the minimalistic style of most of the game. You are not meant to appreciate the beauty of this game's world; instead, you are meant to experience a bleak, dark atmosphere, and the stylistic choices are intentional.

>The game is frustrating, boring, etc.
The game isn't intended to be fun, entertaining, or easy (though most of the game is rather simple in its completion). If you are looking for a game to cure your boredom or be a walk in the park, you're in the wrong place; this is more of an experience than a game.

Most every other criticism wasn't even worth mentioning. Things like no mouse inversion don't constitute a negative review on a rather fantastic game.

Overall, a 9/10 from me; the only thing that keeps it from a full 10 is lack of replayability, as seeking out hidden achievements in a game such as this doesn't seem very appealing.

Not only is the game Pay-to-Win, the developers also punish anyone who DOES put any money into the game by adding new pay-to-win content on a weekly basis. You'd have to pay hundreds of dollars on almost a weekly basis to keep up with the addition of new "features" the developers like to do. Another issue is the support team. I purchased $20 worth of credits through Steam (this was after a few successful purchases as well), and I didn't receive any of them. After contacting support, they told me they had never received the money, even though it was clearly gone from my Steam wallet and the purchase was in my transaction history. After the support team told me to contact Steam support, and I did that, Steam support told me they had done everything on their end, and told me to contact the Trove support team again. Trion (company that develops and provides support for the game) again tried to send me to Steam support. After a circular pattern of switching between the two support teams, Trion finally agreed to send the money back to my bank account (even though I paid through my Steam wallet). Obviously, the money never made it into my bank account, my PayPal that I use to add to my Steam wallet, or my Steam Wallet. This game is a literal waste of money and time.
