Quite a fun game in my opinion, development can be a bit slow and developer communication is mostly done on their discord server. Recently got a major update that overhauls a lot of the game systems in a positive direction.

I am looking forward to what the future has in store for this game : )

We had a good run, I have not played elite in several years but it was fun when i last played it. Mainly moved on to other games due to lack of content and diversity of gameplay after spending a lot of time playing the game.

As a new player and fan of space games, you can probably find a lot of enjoyment in this game for a while. If one disregards that cosmetics and the newly introduced P2W where you can actually buy a ship for real money.

As a final note and list of reasons i cannot in good faith recommend this game:
1. Updates at a snail pace, for example some updates that would be considered minor in other games are considered significant in this one. At least in my experience that i had years ago.
2. Basically no dev-player communication
3. Cosmetics have massively increase in price, for some reason.
4. And finally the most egregious addition to the game: Pay 2 Win by the means of buying ships with premium currency bought for real world money.

It has been truly saddening to follow this games development and have to move on to other video games as a lot of the game is enjoyable, if repetitive.

Would get airstriked/hit by artillery from friends again.

Just gotta say, those gas leaks from various barrels are dangerous. stand far away from those, it is so sad to see people/monsters/"hostiles" dying due to "accidents". Also don't mind me stacking some barrels over here, they are totally empty, i swear.

I recommend this game if you like games with complex building mechanics and have enough patience to suffer through what playing an alpha version of a game truly is. Yes it is buggy, yes i have had the game crash on me, yes i have also encountered a bug that has rendered me unable to build on my ship via easy-build mode. Though there are workarounds present, modify some steam settings and steam stops crashing and burning while bringing the game with it, build with components instead of modules since there's a bug preventing you from snapping the modules to the grid, thus preventing you from building using modules.

Despite all these shortcomings i have found the game enjoyable so far and i'm looking forward to what the devs introduce and fix in the future.

Nice game, I like blowing things up and getting to demolish loads of enemies, or get demolished by them. There's a great community on discord and i am aware of a few bugs that exist though i have not encountered any game breaking ones personally.

A great starting point for the game according to me and I'm looking forward to where the devs will take it in the future and what they will add.
