Two words. Player Choice. Choose what missions you want to play, choose what weapons to bring, plan your route, decide when to get the hell out, progress your battlepass without worry of it expiring. Play and progress your way. No FOMO, no daily grind, just drop in and have fun shooting bugs 'n bots alone, with friends, or with some randos!

My only complaint is wishing weapons and gear had more specific descriptions on what they do and effect, but everything is pretty easy and fun to unlock so not a huge problem.

So much variety and excellent game design, every single match is a unique experience that never gets old. Add onto that the evolving war and true "live-service" experience with something new happening every week and an ever changing daily galactic war. None of that play a weekly mission for 3 months then wait around for the new season to start nonsense.

A shining example of what modern gaming needs to be! (Aside from the Sony account garbage)

Why would 343 not retain the original matchmaking balancing and leveling system? I didn't pay $40 for a 10+ year old game to get a modern season pass system so the devs can tell me how to play their game. We need some changes on this lackluster port. The current systems and implementations make me fear for future updates where microtransactions can be included. I don't want Fortnite/Destiny/CallofDuty, I want Halo. If I still had my Xbox 360 I would go back to that and enjoy what Halo is really meant to be.
