After months of absolutely fumbling the easiest layup of the century through Sony or Arrowhead's hands, I can say this game is good. It just needs more content.

Early Access Review
Currently one of my favorite games of all time. I've been keeping an eye on this since the playtests, and bought it on release if not a day or so. Since then, I've suggested Abiotic Factor to a LOT of people. It's a genuinely good survival game, and I'm excited for future updates to an already great game. Any game to add an annoying mechanic as well as a way for me put the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a jar to watch over my crops for eternity is a good game in my book. :)

This review was previously negative, but it appears the developer is tackling my main issue. (Lack of content for the price.) As promised, this is now positive, but I am leaving this as a statement to how cool the developer is for keeping up with the game. (Also, it appears I owe the developer an extra copy now, so either reach out or I'll give it out on my own accord. lmao)

Absolute Cinema, but with a caveat.

So, I have 1.5 hours (As of writing), I can't have completed the game, right? Well, the story is about that long, including the progression gates the game has that locks the ability to advance further without replaying your previously completed levels.

"But, what if you do the side objectives early," you ask? Well, the game actually doesn't unlock the first side objective until you complete it normally, then it allows you to do them. Why does this matter, exactly? Well, I feel like it's to prevent someone from simply refunding the game early, as the actual content of the game is rather lacking in quantity. Don't get me wrong, what's there is absolute gold, I just wish there was MORE there. Yes, there's challenge missions, but those require you to at least play each regular mission 3 times at a minimum to unlock them all. I'm still itching to play more instead of starting to just perfect my runs.

This game could be thought of similarly to Ultrakill by New Blood, however, the content there is not only greater than the developers genuinely had to go, but also got you to a point where you felt satisfied with the amount and could then push yourself to go back and redo some levels for higher rankings. If this game had more unique levels inside the campaign instead of relying on you replaying them to extend the runtime, I'd call this my new favorite game, hands down. I love the story, characters, and style, it just needs more meat. Randomly generated or player created missions, an endless mode where you have to keep moving/killing to survive, anything! This game feels and plays great, it just needs something to justify that price-tag.

If this game sold with no additional updates or features for $10, I'd say it's perfect. $15-20 depends solely if achieving absolute perfection on repeated playthroughs of each level sounds good to you. If any kind of additional content gets added, I personally promise here to the developer that I will immediately fold and change this to the glowing review this game deserves. Hell, if it's a good amount of additional content, I even promise to buy someone an extra copy.

A mix of action and stealth, Intravenous is a game where you find the people who were responsible for killing your brother, and kill them by any means necessary. You can decide between numerous different weapon combinations to make your way through, or just enter quietly, leaving only your target dead.

Are you a bad person for all these killings? Maybe, the goons you fight are sure as Hell afraid of you. But that line of thinking won't avenge your brother now, will it?

---

Genuinely, this is a good implementation of stealth. First shots/hits on an unaware or surprised enemy insta-kill, including your fists. It is genuinely viable to run through dark alleyways punching the hell out of anyone who sees you. That's what I enjoy the most about this game, it LETS you play it how you want to. Plus, it doesn't try and scold you for whatever path you chose to get in.

Enemies are smart enough and use their weapons well. That's the fun part about deciding between going loud or quiet, you can decide to treat the level like a puzzle, or a hyper-intense shooting gallery. Shotgun goons WILL rush you, and rifles will spray lead into you the moment they see you, if you allow them to. Plus, Enemies don't actually know where you are at all times, its easy enough to trick them into ambushes or kill zones, but they can do the same to you.

My major complaint is being seen/killed off-screen, as that's happened frequently with the panning camera, it's JUST off enough for people to see you, although it feels intentional in a way for you making a mistake. Secondly is that there was only one silent/nonlethal primary, and no non-lethal pistols for those who may wish to take a no-kill run. Luckily, it seems there will at least be silenced primaries in the next game which I am definitely going to buy after playing this.

On the technical side, game ran smooth with no bugs whatsoever, it was just an all-around great experience.

Remember how everyone said Fallout 4 would've been a good game if they didn't attach the Fallout name and branding to it?

That's Starfield. Genuinely good, but it also 100% has the Bethesda Jank.

Good game with plenty to do and fun writing, but if you aren't able to handle that Bethesda quality, then this isn't for you.

Great remake! Although sometimes you may need a walkthrough if your next step is a little unclear. Lucky for you, Nightdive + Prime Matter were so faithful that walkthroughs of the ORIGINAL game still work pretty accurately.
