I've never seen a metroidvania with roguelike elements before.
Until you get your first ability (dash attack), the game feels... not great... However, the pace picks up as you acquire new abilities.
It feels like the developers were inspired by Ori, Celeste, and Dead Cells, but that's just my guess.
The spike mechanic is flawed; once caught in this trap, the player cannot escape and takes damage until they die. It would be better to respawn the player nearby after contact with the spikes.
There are a few bugs at the start... I hope they will be fixed soon.
