Mark Millar once wrote about superhero comics that no publisher will truly allow the characters to suffer under situations that are truly difficult - and Onward is the videogame that reminds us what videogames are for. Outward starts off in an impossible situation and makes you deal with the ramifications of failure immediately. It is peak Old Videogame. You should play it - and if you make a thumbs down review you are a coward.

look: here's the deal:

for years, dumb ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ always claimed this game couldn't exist. the guys that made batman: arkham asylum said that a superman game would be "boring".
this is always, always, because batman is for nerds that don't go outside. superman can fly. anywhere. superman can punch darkseid through seventeen buildings (that's downtown metropolis!) if he wants. but he lives in a world of cardboard, so he doesn't.

there's not a lot to this game. It's missing the human element that every good story has, but everything else that's important is there. making the city a life bar? what a great conceit, i am really surprised it hasn't been done as well before. this is like every clunky superhero game idea from the ps3/ps2 era's but actually done well, ♥♥♥♥. what the hell.

If I had to pick a single phrase to describe ZeroRanger, it would be this:

Bottom Line: ZeroRanger is "A Videogame"

Retro-inspired shooters are generally speaking a dime-a-dozen.
They tend to reference a pool of works that colors precisely what they offer the player.

What might stand out to you about All Would Cry Beware may be the way it makes you feel like it wears what it is on its shoulder, before summarily getting way weirder than you might think it can.
