Oof.
This game tries to bridge the gap between a moba and a shooter again. Like countless others before it will fail and here is why:
1. The Fights are too simple for a moba and too powerless for a shooter.
2. It lacks complexity in gameplay. The simple way of controlling a moba wouldn't keep players playing it. What keeps people playing mobas are the countless strategic options that make no game feel like the last one. Crucible has basically none, you have your charakter and skillset. No Items, no Customization, no way to react to the enemy.
3. Movement. In the "Hive"-Gamemode you have to run across the whole map constantly. Sadly movement is extremely slow, so you'll find yourself walking for a straight minute until reaching something. That minute makes you question what you are doing with your time rn. Also it's just not fun to waddle slowly.
4. You can see that there went a lot of love in the character and world design. The rest of the game can't keep up: everything looks kinda like an early access free to play game from the early 00s. - Remember Evolve? Yeah that looked way better.
5. Hero Design - Really another Soldier?
The abilities are nowhere near innovative, you got your usual overwatch heroes with tiny twists. Tracer now has a poisoned shotgun that will kill people 20 seconds after you engaged them. Soldier can't heal himself instantly, but has to wait a litte until he can use the medpack he can call. Torbjörn now has plants instead of turrets and can have multiple ones. No Innovation in sight.
6. Technicalities - well if you launch a game, you don't want everyone to be drowned in error messages. You might even want a chat or even a voice chat for a team based game from day one. I know right, completely new mechanics that never were in a game before.

Conclusion: If you never played a game like this before and somehow skipped Paragon, that gearbox game, overwatch, evolve, lawbreakers, paladins and smite - then you might find this game interesting and new.
I feel sorry for the art designers, that sunk they love and creativity into the character and world design, because the other side of the studio kinda made this game DOA.

- wunderschönes World Design
- extrem viele Details, die die Welt beleben
- fesselnde Story (nach den ersten 20 Stunden dann)
- interessante Charaktere, die sich menschlich weiterentwickeln

Die Schattenseiten sind allerdings ebenso präsent
- Klobige Steuerung

Fun little 10 minute experience. It's kinda sad that it doesn't support the second hand we humans tend to have.
But I'm honestly not sure if I would have paid money for it.

Amazing Game.
Hit's a sweet spot between simple mechanics and hard decisions.

If I had to nomiate my game of the year for 2018 it would be slay the spire. The time displayed here doesn't even include the countless hours in offline mode during long train rides, while listening to nice music or a podcast. This game keeps on giving and now with mod support the future possibilites are endless.
Thank you for creating this gem.

Great Story, fantastic universe, horrific gameplay.
It's worth to play it for the sake of the story, especcially if you already played part 1.

But I guess I will never understand, why you would add combat to a game, if it's neither fun, nor adds to the story.

7.3 hours and I barely finished the tutorial. The story kinda sounds interesting but everything is disgustingly slow. Each "uuh" and "aah" is worth a text-line, also most of the characters are unnervingly stupid and every obvious storypart get's explained for hours.
I could enjoy this as a tl;dr version. Cut down every interjection, and make the player think at least a little.

Well seems like I'm one of the few guys, which wondered why the game runs so super smooth. I have no fps drops, no host problems and everything works out pretty nicely.
