This game doesn't need to exist. The original got the job done and this "remaster" doesn't bring anything interesting to the table. Well it does have photo mode, yay... Actually this isn't even a remaster it's just a texture pack essentially and... it isn't even a good one. The only noticeable difference is that Karl mostly looks better, not including his hair and eyelids which actually look worse. Also for some odd reason they have taken out the swastikas. I guess they didn't realise that the game takes place during WW2 in Berlin the capital of nazi germany, but oh well.
There are some bugs that weren't present in the original, like enemies glitched inside objects and levels not proceeding properly causing me to restart the level. These are pretty minor annoyances but I decided to mention them since they weren't present in the original and this is supposed to be "remaster". But the most scrotum grinding part of this game is the Sniper elite difficulty, more precisely a part of it. Mostly I like this difficulty, enemies are trying to flush you out with nades more often, they rush you more and give the pushing enemies covering fire and most importantly you have to calculate yourself where your bullet is going to land. But the dung that this difficulty has is the pinpoint accuracy of your enemies, especially the snipers. Snipers are basically Clint Eastwood with an aimbot. This is one of the worst and lazy ways to make the game more difficult. It demolishes the other ways great hard mode, not including the massive damage that your enemies deal to you, which I can live with. Maybe if they would make a remaster they would address this some way, oh wait...
Overall this is a really lazy remaster *cough* texture pack *cough* that adds nothing remotely interesting to the original. And the fact that they charge 34,99 euros for this is laughable. If you own the original (its 9,99 if you own the og but still not worth it) just stick with it you aren't missing anything. If you don't own the original you can probably find it from somewhere else. If not then just buy the 3rd one, it has lots of more content and it's more refined.

This is an interesting one. First Witcher I played was The Wild Hunt aka the 3rd one. Which means I kinda got spoiled by experiencing the newest and greatest the Witcher series (thus far) has to offer. So there might be some comparisons to that one so keep that in mind.
Anyway lemme first cover the things that I like about the Witcher.
+ The number one thing that kept me in the game is the story. It's surprisingly engaging and kept me playing despite the games flaws which I will get to. It has some twist and turns which the final one I kinda predicted but it was still enjoyable. Overall amazing main story. There are also several side stories that are interesting aswell.
Next positive is the way you can effect the story. Often you can effect how the games different stories turn out or you try to effect it the way you want. This means you get different endings to your side stories and of course the main one which I really want to experience second time to get a different ending. And I just wanna say that I'm so impressed that they managed to do this in 2008. Hats off to you. I also like the fact that this isn't a happy go lucky fairytale and that it has darkness and tragedy in it. This is also prominent in the choices that you are present with, everything isn't good or bad, black or white and I appreciate that.
Another positive I'd say is the "complexity" of the combat, and by "complexity" I mean compared to other Witcher games. You have steel sword which is meant against humans and wolves bears etc, typical stuff that you would find in a Finnish forest. Or I guess in this case, Polish forest. Silver sword is another weapon in your arsenal which is for everything else aka for monsters. Game offers 3 different fighting styles, fast, strong and group. Fast is most effective against smaller enemies, since they can dodge the strong ones. Strong is great against big enemies, since it deals a lotta damage, as Phil Swift would put it. Group deals damage to everyone around you at a reduced cost of damage. You're also able to execute combos by precisely tapping the attack key when you are supposed to. So some might ask "why shouldn't I just spam the attack key, that seems a lot easier". Sure try it, let's how far that gets you.
I'd say that's it for the positives and now for the not so great stuff.
- I know this is kinda obvious and a cheap shot against the game but graphics are just really dated. The environment, the buildings, character models... jeez.
Next negative would be "open-world" aspect of the game, which well it isn't. It's more like ok sized areas connected with loading screens. Also, every single building has a loading screen, nice.
Another negative would be the overall clunkiness of the game, in the movement and the combat especially. Even though I enjoy the combat somewhat, it's hindered by the amount of CLUNK. It feels like Geralt is wearing 100% cotton selvedged denim onesie.
Also the minigames suck. Fistfighting, nah. Drinking, nah (in the game of course you silly). Poker dice, meh. Only reason I played these is because I'm a completionist, which in this cased sucked.
The last negative has to be the amount of crashes, dear god. This game must've crashed more then all of Bethesda games that I own combined. Later on I learned that this can apparently be prevented if you only keep 10 or less saves, otherwise the game turns in to Mustang and activates crowd mode.
So I played through the game once which took me 60 or so hours, some of which where spent retreading and in the main menu since the game crashed a bunch. And do I recommend it? Well there are couple of ifs and buts. If you have only played games that have released in the last 5 years (which in and of itself is a sin), then avoid this. Also if you hate or just can't stand older games you should also pass (but you can always take a risk). But to everyone else, this is a game with an amazing story that makes you wanna play again to see how things end up if I choose differently, despite its downfalls.
For myself I was just on the edge of not liking this game, but the story is just that great and won me over. I might even play this again to see where things end up if I pick different choices.

Edit: You also have a grappling hook and dropkick... yes... dropkick, it doesn't get more epic than that.

One of the best zombie games out there, and possibly the best dumb fun slash bash Michael Bay explosion zombie game. Co-op is also fun although the amount of bugs is significantly increased, which doesn't mind me since it's mainly corpse launches. Plus you can play with up to 3 friends if you have enough of those. This game is that entertaining that sometimes I just hop on and kill zombies for 2-3 hours, or maybe that says more about me. Anyways the only downsides that I would give to this game are the story and exploding zombies. The story isn't bad, it's just really by the numbers and meh. But then again this is dumb fun boom boom zombie game. But those exploding zombies ohh boy! Those things are beyond retarded. They might be waiting for you behind a corner or they'll just spawn right behind you. Plus the blast radius is the same as Tsar Bomba, so... good luck. This game is also a bit spooky.

I will highly recommend this game and if you're looking to buy it I would recommend getting the enhanced edition, since it gives you all of the main dlc which are all great, especially the following dlc, my god. The game also goes on sale pretty often so if you wanna save some dosh, pick it up then.
I might update this in the (near) future to make it a bit more cohesant.

Good night and good luck.

So this is basically my first FC game. I've played first one around 5min, same goes with the 3rd one. So I'm not going to compare this to any other FC games.

First with graphics. FC5 looks absolutely great with the highest settings. I thought it would tank my fps but no, it kept steady fps around 100. That's some great optimization. But... the screen tearing is awful. If you don't have G or V-sync monitor it's gonna tear A LOT. Every time you turn your mouse you'll see tearing. Lighting great, water physics great, textures great. Does the game have bugs and glitches... yes. Some of them are just insane! Just go to YT and you'll find plenty of them (and btw I have a video on my steam profile that shows one of the glitches, you can check it out if you want to). Liberating outpost is fun, but it has one minor con. After liberating your outpost you're not able to loot the enemy bodies. It's a minor con I know, but I just wanted to point that out.

Story is ok IMO, don't kill me and all the endings are "good" (hehehe) IMO, again don't kill me. You're a silent protagonist, which doesn't fit. It's a minor con though. All of the npc's are well voiced, especially the Seed family. And there are some really hilarious lines provided by some of the npc's. And the quest are super fun and enjoyable (Testy Festy, Widowmaker quest and well... the "Trump" quest). Gunplay is also good and you have good enough gun customization. You can choose to play as a male or female and you have decent amount of customization on that as well. Plus you can wear many different pieces of clothing. You die pretty fast even on the normal difficulty so you can't just go all guns blazing, which I like. You can also recruit companions. I didn't use companions that much, but if I did I used Cheeseburger.

And you can fish in this game, yeet. Fishing feels really rewarding and it's not too easy. Even though it's fun it still feels shallow (no pun intended). I wish there could be some competitions with the npcs or with your friend that you could take a part of. Same goes for the hunting. For fishing you have couple of different rods, which is good.

FC5 also has co-op mode and thats awesome. I played my first 13 hours with my friend and it was fun and hilarious. We bumped into couple of glitches that just enhanced the experience. Rest of the game I played solo and some bit of multiplayer.

Arcade mode has some REALLY cool maps, but it needs more.

Mayde the biggest con is that it feels basic. It feels too familiar. It's hard to explain. And the price is pretty high, if you have a friend to play with, than the full price is more acceptable. But it's still pricey

Wait for sale. Solo

Great buy. If you have a friend to play with.

They added trading cards, very nice.

Edit: Optimization is better atm. I had some major optimization issues with the game running at 8fps.

Now the actual game.

The game itself is fantastic and suuuper entertaining. The first time you exit that vault and that music kicks in... that's exciting. Story is meh but the cameplay is pure fun and entertainment. Graphics are lil bit disappointed but still good. When the game runs well, it usually stays above 60 fps. Uhm the physics are... well... fun. You might shoot a enemy thats stuck to the ground and send him flying 50 meters up. Fallout 4 also has fine selection of bugs and glitches to choose from. Your companion might be walking at 45° angle, there might be a barrel in the water thats splashing it everywhere, npc might disappear right in front of your eyes or (this is my favorite and my worst enemy) you might bump into a glitch that I like to call "Christine" where you run or walk towards a car and it kills you. And thats just to name a few. Some of them make you laugh until your stomach hurts and some of make you want to severe your spine. V.A.T.S wasn't that useful to me in that way it was meant to be used. I used it only to spot enemies (and it works well to spot them), not to target them. Perk system is watered down version of NV. I wish they would have kept the same system. There's also no lvl limit, which is not a good thing imo, since in the end all of your characters will end up having the same perks. There's a good load of guns, melee weapons and different throwables. And you have great amount of customization. There's also a chance that you might find legendary weapons with different effects. But the uniques were are true led down. There's only like 4 true unique weapons in the game. Thing that makes the other weapons "unique" is that they have a custom name... thats it, no unique paint job, unique legendary effect, unique looks nothing. NV has a good example of unique weapon in form of Survivalist's rifle. That's how Fallout 4 should have handled its unique weapons. There's also a wide variety of different armors that have different resistances. They can also have legendary effects. Plus their very customizable, you can add lead lining, make the armor lighter, add more carrying weight just to name a few. I love that. Compared to NV and Fallout 3 you can wear different pieces of armor/clothing, and by that I mean you can wear raider armor on your right arm and military armor on your left arm, BoS armor on your left leg and institute armor on your right leg plus vault suit and some head wear. I LOVE THAT SO MUCH. Same thing with power armor. You can customize it and wear different pieces of it. All tho there's some small cons when it comes to power armor. First you get one waaay too early in the game. And second it's way too easy to find full sets of power armor. When I had around 40 hours clocked on my first character, I've already found 7 sets of power armor maybe even more.

Anyway there are a lot of quests to do and different locations to discover. Most of the quest are somewhat repetitive but their still entertaining nonetheless. Even with my highest lvl character (lvl 130 something) I might haven't discovered every location. When entering different locations and fast traveling you'll see A LOT of loading screens which can get annoying. Usually they take less then one minute but sometimes they take so damn long that I just grab my phone and start browse Twitter and that's saying something. All tho this happens on rare and weird occasions. There's many different npc's to interact with. There's also some lil conflicts that you can take part and decide how it ends. But their ain't that many big decisions that effect you and people around you. For example in Fallout 3 you go and blow up Megaton. That's cool and Fallout 4 needs more of those kind of decisions. And yeah there is lil but of that kind of decision making in Fallout 4 but not nearly enough. Factions feel lil bit shallow, which is a disappointment but at least they have some unique and fun quests. You side up with all of the factions but in the end you need to decide which ones to destroy (unless you do the pretty difficult Minutemen ending). There your usual enemies raiders, super mutants, ghouls, mireluks and deathclaws to name a few. Mirelurks are easily the scariest imo. You're just walking along the beach and suddenly you hear a loud boom (and I truly mean loud) and there's a mirelurk right next to you.

Even though the RPG elements have been somewhat watered down it's still a great RPG. You create your own character, choose your gender, choose your playstyle and how you act (basically do you wanna be good guy, ahole or psychopath). Here Bethesda decided to give the lone survivor a voice. Giving the main character a voice is fine with me but not giving different voice options is not so good (deeper, russian, middle eastern etc (and I know some of those are accents but you get my point)) . Of course it would have been more expensive to make. It's odd that old white man sounds exactly the same as young black man. It doesn't work like that. Also the dialog options are quite poor and some of them lead to the same outcome. Their ok I suppose. And that's why Fallout 4 isn't that great of a Fallout game, but it is an amazing post-apocalyptic sandbox fps.

Next up is the Creation club. I'm just gonna say this right away... it's not bad. There are some people that review Fallout 4 badly just because of the Creation club. That doesn't make any sense. You really need to hard reset your brain. That's same as saying "Hey this game is horse dung because it has super hard difficulty that is almost impossible to complete". Just don't play that difficulty. Just don't buy anything from Creation club if you don't like it. There are some ok creations, but most of them are overpriced. And some creations will intervene with your mods.

And of course you can use mods, which there are plenty of. Installing them ain't as easy compared to Skyrim and NV though. You have to do more tampering with the game files. I haven't got mine to work so dammit. And reason being that my operating system is on finish and I ain't the best translator (nor google). Plus Falloutexe file is completely lost, I haven't found it literally anywhere, dammit.

I bought GOTY edition on sale (30 euros to be exact) and it was totally worth it. And since I've experienced the game, I think that I would've bought it even without the sale. If you're completely new to this than pic it on sale, but if you have played these kind of games before and you kinda know what your getting into, then I think the full price tag is justified.

I just gonna wrap it up here. I know that I forgot some things so I'll update this in the future.

Even though I have had some major performance issues and the game has some other issues, I'll still easily recommend it.

Must buy

I know it's a high rating for this buggy and not so optimized game, but I truly love it.
I'll update this in the future and I'll review 3 of the dlc's (not counting the workshop ones (maybe I'll do) ).

Transmissions: Element 120 is a neat mod that takes place in the Half-Life universe. Mod is very short it took me around 1 hour but it has great atmosphere and it's all around fun. Graphics and specially lighting look and are great.
Through out the mod you'll find notes and qr codes. Most of the weapons make a comeback from HF2 with 1 new weapon. With this new weapon you can basically rocket jump and blast huge groups of enemies. Luckily the weapon isn't too overpowered since it uses your power suits energy as ammo.
Mod also has problem solving which is great. It really made me think. Climax at the end is satisfying and intense and ending is all around good.
The only negative I have for this mod is that it's short. I hope to see maybe sequel in the future. All and all great mod and definitely worth a playing.

Great download

Definitely try it out since it's free, specially if you like Half-Life.

Metro Last Light is a direct sequal to Metro 2033 and shares the same gameplay system as the 1st one. So same gunplay, stealth, shopping, gasmask etc. So basically everything that I said about the 1st game is the same on this one, which is a great thing. Again I'm not going to tell about the story you just have to experiance it yourself. LL ads couple more guns to the mix like automatic shotgun that looks like a AK, two different high caliber sniper rifles and semi-automatic/automatic pistol similar to Mauser from the WW1. LL was scary but not as scary as 2033. All though it had more jumpscares. I feel that LL has more replayability than 2033. All and all great sequel.

On my second playthrough I finished the game with stealth and as non-violently as possible (trying to kill just few human enemies) and it made me wanna rip my nutsack and burn it on pig fat *reference*. It's still loads of fun!

I bought the Metro Redux bundle.

Buy it now

Note/helpful tip if your fps is low: When a started the game it ran like turd in a blender, 25-45 fps. I didn't have the same problem with 2033 (2033 ran like 80-90+ fps on max). What helped me was that I lowered my SSAA settings to 2x instead of 4x and after that fps was same compared to 2033. And if your pc is not the most powerful then I advise you to lower that setting to 0.5x ( game won't look that great but it's 100% worth it and it will run well)

Note#2: After completing the game in the main menu go to chapters and press Q to choose to play dlc missions. Yes dlc is included in the redux version of the game. And their fun.

Note#3: Metro 2033 redux doesn't have dlc missions, LL has.

First I was hesitant about buying this bundle. I thought that they would be open world games and as soon as I heard they were linear games, I came very hesitant and little bit disappointed. But now since I bought them and played both of the games I can say... I was very wrong.
Even though the game is linear its still a lot of fun and being linear makes it more atmospheric and terrifying. Metro 2033 (and by Metro 2033 I mean the Metro 2033 redux) gave me many shivers and scares. Game just looks amazing. Metro 2033 might have the best lighting I've ever seen in a videogame. Graphics are top notch even for a game that's almost 4 years old, plus it runs very steady without any fps drops or crashes. Spacing differs quite often, at some point you might be listen to npc's for half an hour or more (which actually isn't boring) and after that you might be shooting dozen or so mutants with a shotgun. It isn't bad it just differs. Gunplay is good and satisfying and the variety of guns is also good. There ain't that many guns but there's enough of them so you don't never feel missing any guns. You can also customize your weapon for example add silencer, add longer barrel, attach different sights, stocks, laser sights (quickly about laser sights in Metro 2033 they actually can blind you if enemy uses them when compared to Call of Duty were they just add accuracy) and even extra barrels. There's also nades and med kits. I didn't use nades at all actually, maybe on higher difficultys they come more handy. Med kits are best to use while combat and using them after combat isn't all that useful cause your health generates (slowly) overtime.
I played the game half stealthy half guns blazing. To be stealthy you can move in shadows, turn of light sources like lamp and candles or just shoot them. You can also find alternative route to skip most of the enemies to keep your stealth. There is a indicator that shows how visible you are. Indicator is located on your arm as a blue light, the brighter it gets, the bigger the possibility of enemy seeing you. You can play the whole game guns blazing but I suggest you to use stealth at least a little bit. But if you want to be stealthy through the whole game it's going to get very tough and your forced to use your guns. If you miss a shot with your silenced gun the enemies will come suspicious and start looking for you. You might be standing right next to or even in front of an enemy (mainly human) and they still won't notice you (you have to be in a dark area) , unless their already looking for you. You can perform silent takedowns when behind or in front of an enemy (best used when behind wink wink). They work most of the time. Seldom you might be behind enemy and the takedown icon does not appear. If they notice you they will start shoot at you and sent out alarm (alarm can't be turned off) . I played the game on spartan mode which basically means more ammo and bang bang less sneaky sneaky. Survival mode is opposite to spartan mode.
On the surface you are forced to used gasmask (unless you wanna die) that uses filters. The filters are usually found on corpses and stores or on a wall in a rediss little box . They are really important so keep an eye out for them.
Now is time for shops and currency. Games currency is military grade bullets and yes you can use them as bullets to your submachine guns although I suggest you to spare them for shop. They do more damage and have some sort on incendiary effect. You can usually find this currency scattered around here and there but specially in lockers and in locked safes, to open this locked safe you need to find a red key. With this currency you can buy guns, ammo, med kits, filters etc on different shops in different stations and outposts. How the shopping works is pretty unfair specially for the player. Let's say you sell five bullets and recieve 1 military ammo but if you want to buy the same five ammo back it's gonna cost you 5 military ammo. If you play the game on spartan this won't be that big of a problem cause you don't need to buy ammo that often (cause it's easier to find). But if you play it on survival or on higher difficulty it will be a problem
All the npc's look great and the main characters are interesting and fun to listen to. And when I visited a station I just stopped to listen what the random npc's were talking about.
I won't get to the story you just have to experience it blind as I did

I bought the Metro Redux bundle.

All and all Metro 2033 is one of the best linear 1st person shooters and you must have it in your collection. I was surprised how great the game is and how much quality it has. I also didn't notice any bugs. It has some miniscule cons but all the pros just overwhelm them.

Worried about Metro Exodus, I hope it isn't just another open world survival game
