After years of teasing, Gearbox's Borderlands 3 had a lot to live up to. The hype was through the roof, and for the most part, the game delivers. The gunplay has been improved far above BL2's already-tight system, adding in enough movement to keep the game from ever feeling too slow. The traditional variety of guns has been turned up to 11, although some of the guns are lacking in the variety department when it comes to visuals. The new player characters are fun and memorable, and extra dialogue for them makes them more personable and interesting than most os 2's cast. The story is mostly an excuse to parade around fan-favorite characters and show off the great cast of celebrity VAs, which it does well enough. A mostly lackluster villain drags things down a bit and some of the dialogue and jokes already feel dated, but never to the point of total insufferability, just partial.

TL;DR: Anyone who enjoyed the first 3 installments of the franchise will get a lot of mileage out of this one.

Hi, my name is Dr. Snerd, and I'm an Isaac-holic. It all started when I picked the game and DLC up during a Steam sale for 66 cents. Now, while the first taste wasn't free, it still got me hooked. Now I just want to cry on one more piece of poop in my basement, hoping, nay, praying, that there might be money inside it. This is what my life has become.

It's a heckuva drug. A randomly generated, infinitey replayable, bite-your-own-legs-off frustrating, grotesque, and endearing drug. Like coke, but with more dead babies.

The Binding of Isaac: you can buy the Habit, but you'll never kick it.

Are you wearing a hat right now? No? Then go get one. I'll wait.

Good. you're back. You are now wearing on your head the true essence of this game. Well, it's either that or guns. And sandwiches. And jars of pee. But if you have one of those on your head, all the more power to you.

Anyway, this is possibly the most entertaining FPS you'll find out there. It's also the only one that has made me scream, "Milk that guy!" to this day. Features include well-balanced play (if you have a semi-competent team), fairly frequent content updates, an excellent player community, and plenty of Australian supermen and punching.

And hats.
