CrossCells

"CrossCells" is an easy to understand logic puzzle game.
It has a modern well pollished look with some minor customization options like color schemes and input options (how you click).
Like many games in this category it feels short, or does it?. In contrast to "puzzle books" it suddenly feels cheap and more accessible which gives the conclusion that given the right perspective it might not be as "short" as some might say.

The level design is good and easy on the eye. The puzzles require you to use simple mathematics to solve the different statements given by each box as a whole.
No level (50 in total) is too difficult and most of them give a fair challenge, with few being too easy. (Concepts are added the further you get with more types of math introduced).
From personal experience I recommend taking brakes as playing it all in one go will cause you to get stuck on puzzles and make more errors than you should.
Most importantly do not look up the solution, you should never have to guess. Get at it again later or search for advice on how you should think instead.

To Conclude
I love CrossCells and highly recommend it!
A solid puzzle game, without flaws, which most people will enjoy.
I suggest buying the bundle at a sale for a fantastic price with HexCells and SquareCells included as well, it is a steal!
Or show some extra support for Matthew Brown and buy it at full price. Still worth it in my opinion.

Just Cause 3 Expansion Pass

Changed from "not recommended" (2018-11-05)
A warning
I bought the XL-edition online when I already owned Just Cause 3 intending to gift the extra copy to a friend.
The key was redeemed and only the expansion pass was included. There was no warning when redeeming the code as Square Enix support "suddenly" after some mail exchanges claim. They do not offer a refund or any form of compensation and expect me to be satisfied with "thats how the key ******** works". But of course when we gamers want to pay extra we pay for the XL-edition instead of the Expansion Pass for no reason and not through humble bundle riiight???

Do not make this mistake you have been warned!

The review
There are three DLCs included in the expansion pass: Air "Sky Fortress", Land "Mech Land Assault" and Sea "Bavarium Sea Heist" aswell as an exclusive "Flame Wingsuit" and Parachute Skins. Each dlc is estimated to take 2-3 hours to complete giving you at best around 10 hours of gameplay.
There are 19 achievements linked to these three DLCs (7, 6 ,6).

The quality of each of these DLCs are good but as the lenght suggests they should have been created as one single DLC. The price at launch and for a good time efter release was ridiculously high and not worth it. Timewise the DLC is just a fraction of the base game something to keep in mind.

I loved playing all of the three DLCs and must say that some of the weapons etc. gained through the DLC would have made things a lot easier in the base game.

The "Bavarium Sea Heist Pack" adds a new location (Stingray) located in the west waters of Medici. There you will uncover a new story and several mission and can unlock the Loochandor, a very powerful boat with multi-lock rockets and minigun. It also gives you access to the Eden Spark a very powerful lightning weapon. By doing challenges you can unlock mods that further improves the "Eden Spark".

The "Sky Fortress Pack" adds a huge Sky Fortess with new enemies and a interesting new story. New challenges are set in the sky where you will have to adapt and master wingsuit courses with your new Bavarium Wing Suit which in my opinion is the biggest game changer created in all the DLCs. Throught completion of the challenges you can further upgrade and make the wingsuit ridiculously strong. There are also two new weapons the Bavarium Splitter assualt rifle and the Eviction personal defence drone.

Lastly the "Mech Land Assualt" adds the new island province "Lacrima". Apart from new enemies, missions and areas there are two types of mechs that can now be access in the world of Medici. By doing challenges these can be improved and their respective types of weapons become even deadlier. You are also given the option to call in a "Rebel Mech" buddy. A new weapon is also included called the Bavarium Power Core Rifle.

To Conclude
  • 6-9 hours to 100%
  • 19 linked achievements
  • 3 new areas
  • New missions
  • New Enemies
  • New boat, Loochandor
  • New Challenges specifically designed for each DLC area
  • 4 new Weapons
  • 2 mechs (none before dlc)
  • Bavarium Wing Suit
  • New mods linked to additions made by DLCs
  • DLC content can be used in base game
  • - Three DLCs which should have been one and priced as one...
  • -----Square Enix, great games horrible support...

Apart from pricing and splitting up the dlcs as three with high pricetags, the content is fun and well made. They are an enjoyable extension to the base game and gives access to some really nice game changing stuff, which further help to expand the huge "Open World Sandbox experience". Much of the negativety towards the DLC lies in the lenght vs money for content aspect and Square Enix scamming me.
Nevertheless I recommend getting all the expansion through the "Expansion Pass" during a sale with heavy discounts as the DLC compared to the base game lenght-wise is only about a fifth which price-wise is ridiculous.

Amazing Co-op game which I strongly recommend to play with friends.
(4 if possible for best expierience)

Singelplayer is great, but tends to get boring and repetitive after a playthrough to 50+ lvl or two.
As you do the same thing three times with increasing difficulty it can feel draining. (Normal, TVHM and UVHM*)
Therefore I highly recommend getting the GOTY-edition as the DLCs adds a lot of content and replayability.

As the game requires you to farm a lot to get the most rewarding experience and play UVHM to get the best loot and maximize your lvl, it might be difficult for some people to truly enjoy this game and finish it. Playing with friends helps these people enjoy the game even if they normally dislike games where you have to grind a lot to be/feel rewarded.

Its very easy on normal mode and can be extremely hard on UVHM, all depending on how you play.
With that said Borderlands 2 is a game for both Hardcore and Casual player alike.
Give it a try!
