I'd say I like everything this mod ADDs. It does a great job at revitalizing movement and gun play, effects look great, the attachments look and feel appropriate, however...

There are WAY too many ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugs in this mod. On my first play through, I noticed huge amounts of clipping issues, the floor just seems to catch you in certain places, which is very annoying during combat in a game where movement is essential. There was texture mapping issues, like blocks in the map editor had overlapped.

WAY WAY WAY too many "pinch points" where I would take random damage from doors or certain parts of the map where it seems like the game logic thinks i'm getting squished. And I know its just a physics issue that occurred in base HL but it was very rare to happen and I barely noticed when it did.

The level where you get abducted by the HECU guys didn't play out right, I became stuck in the scene level, and had to reload. Many scripted events didn't function properly either, especially in the early chapters. Headcrabs clipping into walls, et cetera.

I know from doing level design that many of these issues (clipping problems, texture overlap, pinch points) are relatively easy fixes, its just a hassle to recomplie every level that was edited, but you really shouldn't have shipped it like this without serious play testing.

I am sorry I really want to give this mod a recommendation, as it clearly has had a lot of work put in, and makes great additions to the replay-ability and enjoyment of HL, but, I cannot with how many problems I encountered that directly take away from the enjoyment of this mod.

Fun game, but absolutely atrocious support. The game has been around for years, and bugs that have existed from the beginning are still present. I am dumbfounded how there is still issues like this. But of course instead of fixing game breaking bugs and fundamental issues with optimisation they decide to make new DLCs and expansion packs (Which are all installed whether you want them or not) Which is what contributes to the game's huge storage size.

On one of the first pvp matches I played with randoms it was pretty damn funny there was this one guy who would f.u.c.k.ing rage at the people on our team for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Like what was his problem, anyway this guy kept on pestering everyone on our team and this one guy just told him "♥♥♥♥ off mate no one wants to listen to you ♥♥♥♥ on everyone just because you get mad at a video game go and get some sunlight incel" everyone cracked up laughing and the c.u.n.t left.

A good DLC for a good game

Let me make a meme about having no life and bragging about how I have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of hours on this game but mask it with "yeah only played this once, kinda fun"
