Constantly crashing. *IF* you can even get the game to load, it'll will crash anytime you travel to a new location (American map only it seems).

Crashes if you try to edit a Zio's outfits.

March 30th hotfix seems to have broken it even worse as now I can't even load the game without it crashing. (Update- After repeated attempts, game finally loaded like normal)

Promised career mode, initially had a career mode....then they took it away, and now game seems to be dead in the water. No updates since late Dec '24/early Jan '25- and now the ONLY game mode is sandbox. DO NOT buy at full price.

Understandable that its early access, as its very evident when playing. Many bugs within the first couple hours of playing.

Started the tutorial, had to save and close the game part way through- when I reopened the game and loaded the save file, the tutorial was no longer going and I was just "freeroaming".

Continued and bought myself a new boat, and longline equipment. Went all the way out to one of the fish habitats, dropped my lines then saved the game as I had to leave. When I came back and loaded up the save, once again it was screwed up- all my longlines were gone, no buoys in the water, nothing. Money all wasted on equipment that randomly has poofed and now I'll have to restart the career.

Not worth the money until its less buggy as its currently barely playable. Even then, I'd only buy if on sale- mostly just a rehash of North Atlantic.

Updated Review- After the dev's recent updates, the game seems to be running much smoother. Updated to reflect the changes and appreciate an active developer that's constantly working to update and improve the game.


Original Review- Cant recommend at the moment, there is something very wrong with the optimization it seems. My desktop with a RTX 2060 has terrible fps even on low settings, while my laptop running a 1050 Ti runs it just fine.

Fun casual game, not worth full price though so wait until its on sale.

Cons-
-Pop ups almost every time you go to main menu trying to get you to buy this or that in micro transactions. I already paid for the game, stop trying to shove your "weekly special" coin prices down my throat.

-FPS drops randomly throughout the match, messing up your swing timing.

-Coins are nearly impossible to come by, probably to try to persuade people to buy them instead- so dont expect to be able to customize your character much unless you grind endlessly for them. You would think for winning a tournament you would get some amount of monetary reward, but you dont other than maybe $100 for a sponsor reward.

Hadnt played in quite a while, took me a bit to remember how everything worked...but Im liking the changes. Certainly been improved upon since my initial review as the bugs I was noticing before seem to have been fixed- and as such have changed my recommendation to a thumbs up.

Initial Review:
Currently 20 hours in, I like the concept, not a fan of the product at the moment though (Given it's in early access I expected that to an extent).

However, I do not feel it was worth $30. More like $15 in it's current state. Yes I realize the developer's "have to eat" as they mentioned in another thread where price was mentioned, but you don't offer up incomplete/non functioning product and get to dine on lobster so to speak.

Single player is alright, multiplayer is hit or miss as the server browser only seems to work occassionally. It's also a huge pita to browse the servers as it continuously refreshes the list even if you tell it to "stop".

I will continue to update as I get more time in. I can't currently recommend this game, but may change my tone as the bugs get worked out.

Can't even get past the first mission, game glitches and the gun you need to pick up disappears leaving you stuck on the bus.
