replay value dwindles over time, as there isn't RNG weapon and loot drops like other Battle Royales, making every level very similar to the last time you played it. I played a lot of this when it first came out, but I was really good (compared to now), which made it more enjoyable. now I only play after long periods of not playing it, to see if anything has changed or been added.

TL:DR - Get it on sale.

this is almost like a puzzle version of Hotline Miami. also, its made by hopoo, what else could I say? this is a good game.

I haven't played this with a vr, but from my time, I am positive that I have enough experience to give this a review based on the standard game. I played this close to launch on my old family ps4, and it has brought in everything that it had originally promised that weren't delivered at launch. that is why the recent review score is so much higher then the total.
YES, you can play with friends, that is probably your main concern.
Now go enjoy it, it is a good game.

good that it is free, but the new beyond light has pretty much taken all the good free stuff away. you need beyond light to fit in. sad but true.

great game, but it is quite expensive if you intent to buy multiple family members or friends to play games in quarantine. for that, wait for a sale.

not the best, not the worst. families will like fibbage 3, and the All about you mode is great for learning about your friends. the rest of the games in this aren't so good. there are better drawing games in other packs, and there isn't much special in the others.

this game is just good, no way around it, and now with journey mode it is a lot more accessible to people who don't like a crazy grind or challenge.

Original (210 hours) - How I haven't written a review for this game, I do not know. How this game doesn't have 100% positive reviews, I again do not know. This game is super engaging and surprisingly accessible, providing optional difficulty in each run (this is a rogue-lite, after all) with things to discover and explore over and over again.
This game is exquisite on your own, but if you play with friends, you won't find a better game to soak up your time, especially right now in the world of isolation. Please please please give this game a try, and dive into it's easy to learn, hard to master game play and world.
Edit (275 hours) - Just this week I completed every achievement challenge and got 100% completion according to steam. Every second of this adventure has been worth it, and I will continue to devour this game just for its quality alone. The recent update has added new fresh content, that filled in the few gaps, which really makes this game feel special. I cannot wait for what comes next, and you shouldn't either.
Edit (325 hours) - Anyone else seen the recent dev thoughts?! The DLC coming this coming spring is going to be SO SICK! If you get burnt out of content before then download R2Modman, it allows you to download any mod online without having to put them in yourself, and you can launch vanilla or disable/update mods at will. Absolutely incredible.

But that doesn't make it less enjoyable, since the new online multiplayer has made teaching it way easier, which reduces the learning curve. Just find a friend or two to play with and you'll figure it out, I'm still learning 12 hours in, I haven't made it past 2-1 yet.

EDIT (54 hours in) - am yet to make it past 3-1 without shortcuts. this game cuts my soul like butter. please end my suffering.

EDIT 3 (130 hours in) - I am complete, I do not give a single sh*t about all the secrets. This is because I am sorta tired of spikes and moles and spined lizards and witch doctors and magmas and punch-trap combos. Sigh. I beat "the game", with no shortcuts (though I never even made it there with shortcuts anyways). Finally. That is all I care about. I have reached what I see as the top of the ladder, I know I can stand on parts of the ladder that aren't meant to be supporting human weight, that many might say you haven't gotten to the absolute height without standing on it, but I don't really want to suffer any longer. If you thought I didn't like this game because of how much I talk cr*p about it, then you would be wrong. This is just a very well made, really hard, REALLY hard game. And I am just not use to hard games. have a good one.
EDIT 4 (424 hours in) - AAH!! This game has corrupted me... I must 100%... but I don't know if I have the strength to do it. The Low-Scorer Achievement causes me actual IRL suffering. I have cried dying to the end boss with no gold. I was so close.
