Best Amnesia game so far, and arguably the best from Frictional Games. Soma is also fantastic, but also simply different. This game is compact, great and a wonderful step in the right direction for Frictional Games.

This game works just fine to play on its own, so don't feel left out if you haven't played other Amnesia games.

A great & compact love letter to old city builders, but not amazing. If you enjoyed Caesar 3 and Zeus, you'll definitely like this game. For 20 Euro, this is a bargain.

I wish the game had more content and that extracting more raw material was possible such as wood, ivory. It's also not the biggest game in terms of content, but for the low price it's still definitely priceworthy and the campaign and gameplay is definitely more complex than Zeus for instance.

This DLC is unfortunately disappointing. While some areas had some great, fun challenges (I'm playing on Nightmare), I think some things are not welcomed. The cursed prowler, and the final boss comes to mind. I don't like boss battles in general in Doom games (just doesn't fit in), this one was just an annoyance.

If you absolutely love Doom Eternal, then it's worth considering.

This game has a frustratingly stupid AI and botched optimization. It's hilarious that I can have a solid computer in 2020 and still not be able to play this 10+ years game the way it's intended. A third stack supposed to join the fight? No, can't happen. The graphics settings need to be lower.

Returning to the AI it is indeed a mess and yet another testament to that the developers and publishers are content with sparing no expense for graphics but can't waste an intern's day to fix a passable AI.

It's really, really sad that they botched this installment of medieval warfare. It could have truly been a classic.

The humour and parts of the story is top notch but the game mechanics are terrible. Unnecessary movement and clunkiess all around and it's frustrating that the game is seemingly so random. You can't really predict fights at all, plenty of party members are broken while others are useless. Furthermore you can definitely pit yourself into situations where you have to reload your game unless you want to give all your magz (in-game currency) to a antagonist.

For instance, I was well stocked and had 4 good characters when I took a side-track to a town to explore. When I left the town I was approached by a gang that wanted all my mags. I fought them 9 times but died each and every time due to them stunning me. Even though I was narrowly defeated each time it's just like Dingaling truly yearns for people to double save at different points just because the game mechanics will screw you over. Just the same thing as when you go to a bonfire to rest (regaining hp) you can sometime get some nastiness like a team member stolen and held hostage. Solution? Just go to a previous saving point! But you have to go through the hussle of saving everytime before you rest.

What is really the fun in that and what does it really contribute to the game experience? I'm kind of scratching my head why that is really the case in modern game. Furthermore, you will be given moral choices in the game but they don't feel quite warranted. It's good that the game doesn't coddle you for doing the 'right' thing but it feels like the ending of the game doesn't give any reward or change whatsoever depending on how you deal with your team-mates lives.

The game gets a 2/5 for me and that is based solely on the story, which you can get from watching it on youtube and saving your bucks.

Breathtakingly atmospheric and a beautiful and catharthic story! I'm a 30 year old man and few things on the internet moves me, but this truly did.

The horror is an upgrade from Amnesia: A machine for pigs for sure. In that the puzzles are required to be solved while there's horrific monsters patrolling the corridors. Excellent soundtrack and the ending is mindblowing.

I did the mistake of first watching a 7 hour playthrough of this game before playing it myself and boy, do I regret that. I was so sucked in by the story, simply. But still, having played the game I can say without a doubt that when I look back at 2016 I will definitely remember this game and Simon, our protagonist.
