I appreciate the new mechs and weapons added, especially with the overhaul. However, I would also like to see some new Clan weapons that weren't in the game. HAGs, ATMs, Micro lasers, Heavy lasers, Light & Heavy MGs & Harjel (not a weapon but cool). I imagine timelines might be why they're not added but... hey, I like more options on how to kill people.

Why is there a Spitfire on the cover? There is no sign of the English in this game. Despite being set in Europe, which the English had just as big of a part during the late stage, and more so during the early periods, they are not present. They have guns, tanks, planes and equipment that suit the game meta. They also could hardly be "unbalanced" if they were with the Americans. They would just be allied.

Hey, we could have the Sten, Lee-enfield, Bren, Vickers, and Browning for just a sample of our guns. As well as having our own Anti-tank rifle like the Russians. Tanks? We have for light the A13 & Crusader, for medium the Cromwell, Valentine and Comet, and for heavy the Matilda and Churchill. It could be argued for a top-of-the-line tank we could get the early Centurions that were constructed this late in the war. If anyone starts talking realism here then I'm going to laugh my ass off and I don't usually do that. Planes? Spitfire, Lysander, Mosquito. Maybe even the Hurricane too.

"Would you recommend Heroes & Generals to others?" What is this game I'm being asked to recommend when I press Post review? It's for Heroes & Generals!

It is a fun game to play, I'd say with a group of 5 people. Play PvE like its Space Crusade if you want the most enjoyment. It has a lot of customisation for an Alpha stage game, although needs a lot of working in its tweaks. Overall it is good game for free, I'd play the free version before considering the pay for version though, you may find the game too much in need of work to be bought. If you want a referall code to play, as you might get some goodies (I know I will at the least if you want to be kind) EC-IRX5PIJVC8YGR (the worst that can happen is nothing, use this when creating your account).

Nothing like the board game. No CRD-3R Crusaders either so I'm sad. :(
Faction play is very clan-lobsidded as their mechs take up less room for equipment and weapons, that are often lighter too, and have the omnipods to make them extremely adaptable all-be-it expensive. (I'm telling you though, CRD-3R would muck them up).
The heat spike is far too much. I get overheating from firing weapons that would cause far less heat issues in the board game (Such as firing a large constantly while I have 4 additional double heat-sinks with my main 10).
LRMs not needing LoS (I understand this is from expanded rules) despite the lore stating in the original book that LoS weapons have been adopted and 'fire and forget' systems have been completely done away with. I use LRMs myself out of my love for them, not the game mechanics of them.
Light mechs take too many hits, come on, they are light mechs and a Pheonix hawk should chew them up and spit them out while taking their hits enough to do well.

However, the mechanics of the game do have some impressiveness. The abilities of smaller mechs makes them fair to play against larger mechs (as apposed to the board game's only reason to take a light mech, to have something cheap in tonnage). I quite enjoy the sensor mechanics, although I'd wish they were a bit more capable to recognise enemies I'm looking at in a distance.
I have come to love some available mechs which I have modified, such as the original Pheonix Hawk and the Warhammer, although as I have said the heat problems need fixing (possibly the firepower mechanics alongside it too. Light mechs should consider themselves lucky to get shot in the arm and lose it to a large laser, nevermind survive one alongside 2 mediums and still have armour).

Have fun recreating Warhammer 40K battles in a slaughter against hordes of Orks. Best to play with friends online, that's where all the real fun is and it is so relaxing to play after all the competitive rage games. Of course its bloody good, it uses the 40K miniatures and they're all detailed and animated very well. There's some problems in that it states different statistics to Fire Warrior (my only other 40K fps) such as the ammo count in the bolter but it doesn't matter.

This game is far too simply a classic MMORPG. Most players in the database just rush through the quests when you are lucky enough to find a group and to face the fact that there simply isn't any role play as such as roll play (as in, the all go by what the think is the best stats). The system of the game hardly helps in roleplaying either and if people simply don't and if the game system doesn't help to reinforce it (like long term injurys, necessary conversations, riddles, etc) then it will never be a good roleplay game.

Great Game, much better when you organise games with a bunch of friends instead of regular battles. Game is often ruined by people taking advantage of game mechanics rather than playing properly. Once you reach about 5.7 Battle rating in realistic, the game can often be unfair. Don't even bother playing 5.7 or higher aircraft unless you go up to Jets. If this seems like the game for you then feel free to play it. GWR also looking for fresh recruits capable of being dedicated and dignified fair players. to play, here's the link to get 50 GE. {LINK REMOVED} To join GWR put NVC_"Your name"_GWR and join the in-game squadron and steam groups.
