I'll keep this short and sweet, very enjoyable game, it takes a little bit to actually get going and sadly I think that's outside the 2hr return window, but after you get your own headquarters if you don't enjoy the next hour or so you're not going to like the game, if you do you'll really love this game by the end. biggest complaint is the story is a bit juvenile especially considering this is supposed to be a spiritual successor to an older game, like did they think the audience are Benjamin Button? should've been way more nuanced and mature, but it is serviceable and the "bad" ending is the superior ending.

Very good game, Act 1 is peak, Act 2 is still a good time, Act 3 is a slog and feels worthless since you're already a god by the time you get there. Gear and Perks need way better balancing, you'll get the best gear in game in either Act 1 or 2 and the stat requirements are way too high for such low level gear. Sadly the game turns more and more into generic modern open world as you progress with Act 3's map feeling lifeless and the quests turn very blah. There are also way more bugs the more you progress with me actually having to wait to keep playing as I type this because I killed someone the wrong way in Act 3 which now just soft locked the quest, which is a main quest. Overall though this is very much worth the price, Act 1 is worth the price on it's own.

Playing this for the first time ever and I can see why it's as popular as it was. Some party members could be flushed out a bit more imo and old gaming logic is a bit of a downside like missable items you can't ever go back for. That's all I can really say for negatives though everything else is top notch, story, characters, world, gameplay, game systems, everything just comes together so perfectly.

Did right what yooka laylee did wrong, if you're looking for a return to traditional 3d platforming look no futher.

preachy as hell, I have nothing agianst being gay, but this game made it seem like if your gay, that's the only thing you write about think about etc.
