Instead of looking at it as 2D Minecraft, look at this game as a Metroidvania with building elements.

Trust me, the game will be more enjoyable that way.

A pretty good combination between COD and TF2 in some ways.

Just keep in mind that it'll get pretty grindy as you play, and the team-balancing is unreliable, so you can expect to fight level 50s as soon as you start playing.
