This is a masterclass in 3rd person shooters. It truly shows what an Indie Dev Team can do when they trust in their own vision vs just copying what everyone else is doing. This game also really comes alive in multiplayer. The movement and game play varies dramatically depending on the character and Artifacts your are using. This really adds the "fun and fresh" feeling you get at the beginning of the run as you prey to RNGesus for good items. 10/10 would recommend.

The grind is real... If your looking for a Shoot em' up to kill a lot of time via replaying and grinding for upgrades this is your game. I really enjoy the gameplay and upgrade elements but hate hunting for cards and parts. Luckily with the right pilot and ship, cards and part collecting gets much easier around the time you have played long enough to become obsessed with trying to get all the achievements.

Grow Home is simply put a must buy when on sale if you want an adorable platformer were you control a derpy little robot. I can't think of anything that is poorly implemented while not being at least charming.

I purchased this game during the "Golden Week Sale." I would not recommend it at full price however at 65-75% off its a great game. The game does a better job then J-Stars Victory VS for teaching you how to play. The Customized Character with editable specials and skills was a nice touch to flush out the roster while we wait for Character Pass 2.
Pros:
Controls are better then J-Stars Victory VS
It plays like Power Stone without random item spawns and updated gameplay mechanics
Character Tracking is much better then J-Stars Victory VS
More Playable Characters then J-Stars Victory VS (not counting support since you can't control them)
Cons:
Long Waits for online fights
Tons of nonsense cutscreens to skip
Terrible story (as bad as J-Stars Victory VS)
Missing some Fan Favorite Characters

This game looks fun but... That is where the fun ends. The game is loaded with bugs and plagued by clunky counterintuitive gameplay machanics. I wise I could recommend this game however, it is meh at best and a classic wtf at worst.

I have no idea why but, this game is more fun that it really should be allowed to be. This series is a guilty pleasure for me and has always been a fun time killer for me. Chicken Invaders 5 continues the same humor and chicken related genocide we have all grown to love.

Once again Borderland shows what an FPS should be. If you want a great game to kill a ton of time get this and do all the side missions including all DLC.
