This game is an adorable, fun, if easy, platformer. It is so fun zipp around! It is great value for the money, but it is not a long game. I would be happy to pay more and get more game. Maybe there will be a sequel in the future?

Super cute and can't wait to play more! It kept crashing on my deck, but the dev got in touch and helped figure it out (use proton 9.0-1).

I really had alot of fun with this game. It's adorable and wholesome, and just the kind of low key cozy I love.

It's not without its flaws, but none of them are deal breakers.

Pros:
- adorable graphics
- mischievous kitty antics
- fun gameplay
- cozy quests and exploration

Cons:
- some very very minor graphics issues (really very minor)
- some of the quests seem very grindy (such as the number of pieces of litter you have to deposit - but I learned the trick with getting them when I only had 12 left to do)
- I want to do more with the shinies. They are used for one purpose and yet we find soooooo many. I want crow to exchange them for more things. Ditto with the feathers.

Sweet cozy game. You won't get a long game, but you will get beautiful graphics, a charming soundtrack, and an overall lovely experience. Hope we get a sequel at some point.

I'm so glad I decided not to wait for a bigger sale because I love this game!

It's cute and cozy and low pressure and the music is wonderful and atmospheric. The dynamic of planting and synergizing and exploring (and re-exploring as you upgrade your tools) is so pleasing to the mind. Watching life return to the area as you plant and remove waste is incredibly satisfying.

The ui is easy to understand, so you never lose track of quests and you can tackle whichever thing you want to do, be it main objectives or crafting people's favorite items.

If you're looking for something fast paced or complicated in terms of crafting or survival or base building, this game may not be for you, but this cozy little retreat certainly checks all my boxes.

I also noticed it has a "little buddy" mode if you have a little buddy you want to enjoy it with.

Thank you, Devs, for this gem.

This is such a cute cozy game, adorable graphics, adorable premise. However for me it just doesn't hit it out of the park. I know the game is much beloved... But there is nothing in the game driving the motivation to solve every mystery and gain every achievement. I've reached the peak. Gotten most of the golden feathers, talked to everyone and now find myself just a bit bored. Too bored to really tie up all the loose ends, which is disappointing. But still, a cute good little respite. Just don't expect a long cozy journey.

Love cozy games like this! Exploring! Collecting! Achieving! While I find the wonderfully vibrant graphics a bit chunky, the style grew on me. Though the game dynamics aren't difficult this game also doesn't hold your hand. It took me embarrassingly long to figure some things out. I also restarted the game when I'd almost finished it because I thought I'd missed an achievement (turns out you can complete anything post game). Very much enjoyed this game. Hope to see more DLC or more from this dev

Edited update:

Im changing my review to recommend, although it still barely gets a pass. It's definitely not as good as the first one. Since the January update it hasn't crashed or lost my progress again. However, I still find there aren't as many objectives as I'd like, per level. The dioramas seem more flat and less interesting as the first, there aren't as many fun little secrets to find. On one of the levels I couldn't see all the objectives (steam deck), the far right and left were both cut off, I couldn't see what they were, I happened to guess partially right, based on the clue. But there was no ability to scroll through, the bottom list was just static.

I'll still play though it. And I'll still recommend it now that they've fixed the crashing (it's still very cute). However it is a disappointing follow up to the first.

Original review:

I'm so sad not to be able to recommend this game at this point. I loved hidden through time 1, I played it and all the dlcs. It has adorable graphics, cute hints, a fun interactive scenes. Hidden through time 2 promises to be as well done and engaging - if they can get it to work right.

So far I've played it twice and finished several maps and my save keeps getting erased. It's so disappointing. I won't play more until this is fixed.

Also, the controls (on steam deck) are imprecise. Clicking on objects (particularly small ones, like the banana, or the night/day) don't seem to register and sometimes I can be clicking and clicking but it won't work.

I hope in the future I can change this to a thumbs up.

I love this game! I originally played in on switch to 100% completion a couple years ago and when I got it on steam I was pleasantly surprised to find they'd added new content.

Some of the challenges were honestly pretty difficult, but it was enjoyable.

The controls are great and easy to use. The graphics are adorable. The story is charming and occasionally very touching. And you get to pet animals.

The only things I'd change are - the ability to move and organize photos in the main album, and the ability to retake some of the achievement photos.

I hope the Devs add more at some point, or a sequel.

My favorite game by this dev (so far I've enjoyed an arcade full of cats and a building full of cats). I love the infusion of adventure elements.

The only thing I wish this game had was a hint thing for missing items. At the end I was missing 2 kittens and it would have been nice to be able to click on the quest giver to get a hint about which room to search in.
