I have been told by friends and others that this is the sad one,but I mean its Sam and Max how sad can it can get?

edit:If that end credits cutscene didnt exist apart of my soul would have been locked away and i dont think i would be be able to usse it again.

There as a lack of say gex scenes with sam and max but over all its a good game.

SPOILERS FOR THE WATCHER AND RAINWORLD IN GENERAL.

Look if you just want more rain world go buy downpour its the same prize with more content and it actual feels like the base game and not what ever the hell is going on with this.

It feels disconnected with everything else,and i am not complaing because its different i like different but this just isnt the rain world i feel in love with.

Downpour has its problems hell the base game as its problems but the watcher just either doesnt fix issues,over complacts things,explain things that should't be explained and does everything wrong in a story and some times game play.

Rain world doesnt tell you ♥♥♥♥ but i swear to god survivor seems handheld comperded to this-
I can make a 10 page essay about how bad this thing is but i dont have the time to do it and if i did that i would give this dlc more then it deserves really,

Look if you want more rain world downpour addes more to the base game and story and its less then a AU then this thing is,is more connected and evern if you are more of a main character there it still feels like you are a weak slugcat trying to survive despite all of the new powers the 5 slugcat campain gives.

Buy it if you have 15 dollars/euros to spare and just want a channegele but i cant recommd this to a rain world player that jsut wants more because this removes stuff and doesnt add anything in its place.

So its been a few days and i have played a bit more,and my opition hasnt changed at all.

If anything the more i play it the more it feels wrong.You know how rain world's world is like you know connected in a way well the portals are random for every playthough which on paper its good but it makes it feel evern more disconned from what it is.

There is alot to like about the watcher but most of it is just vibes and the regions and evern does miss out on the world building they had to do all their pearls and stuff being gone.

It feels more modded then downpour ever as,it recons the way that echos work in general,and it just feels like its a whole sonic 06 plot where after you beat it ,it just recons it self.Is it a dream?Is it real? Is it in a other time line?

GOOD ASS QUESTIONS.

And it kinda effects the main game's creatures too.

What once as a creature that as a way to represent cancer that acurres once a god messes up their projes and injects this thing on to the world that needs a host to survive other wise it slowy dies out as time goes on is now a hivemind that correptes time and space and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ puts karma flowers on to others that i honestly dont evern know what the hell as that true ending-

Echos once a echo of once former self that as left behind and will be the last thing that will die out within the cycles of this world and just ascend once a rat goes with them..and also makes more karma out of the 10 and gives out time and space portals...and also invesability powers-

You get what i mean.

And before any one says about it,just because the devs are adding new stuff in updates doesn't mean it will fix the issues.Just because maybe they will fix everything with future updates and make the watcher the best dlc known to man doesnt mean we still can't ignor the fact the the dlc come out as a rushed un-finished mess that destroys part of the original game i love.

And i dont care if its different or it adds more the lore or what ever i bought the dlc for more rain world NOT A NEW GAME-

Because at the end of the day this is what the watcher is a new spinoff of rainworld that adds creatures that only interract with the player,removes/adds recons to pre existing rules of the world and it doesnt feel like the game i originally brough.

And ignoring all theses issues lets look at a pov of a person who just finished rainworld and wants to buy a dlc and they only can have one,what do you think they will buy?

The dlc with 5 campains,new game modes,regions,unlockbles that gives a while mytrius ending to the game is a good conclusion to FivePebbles and Moon's arc,

Or what ever the hell the watcher is which is one campain,a non existen world building,confusing story and dead ends?

Its just not good,i give it a 3/10 its not the game i feel in love with years ago.

i should have payed more for the dlc.

but i got the ending spoilered and i now i am depresed.
