Amazing game, tight and responsive controls, a ton of levels to unlock and go through, as well as well as a bunch of alternate paths with entirely different unlocks and bosses, the animations they release for their trailers are so fun and stylish, and the collabs they’ve done are fun and awesome, all of which culminate in a product that was made with much passion and love.

Worth it just for the workshop fighters alone.

Main reward for exploration(Something Metroidvania's are supposed to encourage you to do), are materials that make equips that are nullified once you take a single hit, that isn't a reward, that's a slap in the face for getting involved and putting time into your game. It's not fun and is ultimately rendered pointless when you come across enemies that are pointless to fight unless required, or when you come across a boss that you don't know.

This game is the worst port I have seen on Steam yet, the game doesn't explains itself at all, and there is NO keyboard controls listed anywhere ingame. I often found myself stopping mid game trying to figure out some moves so I could use them, straight to the point, didn't go well. Also, when going through the DLC Story mode, I found that it was terribly unfinished. Not to mention, when going through the game, I first started playing on easy mode to level up characters a bit before tackling the harder difficulties, couldn't get past the first boss with the DLC character... ON EASY... The boss was always countering, something I didn't know how to do due to the CONTROLS, and it would often end up stunlocking me, like some of the other enemies in the game. There are some good points about this game, but for me, since I don't have an XBOX PC controller, the cons outweigh the pros... I wouldn't reccommend the game unless you're really into beat 'em ups and have an Xbox controller. I honestly hope the controls get patched so I can actually play the game the way it's meant to be played...
