I need to start off by saying I adore Destiny with every fiber of my existence.

I've met some of my greatest friends on this game. Made memories I'll have for the rest of my life, had laughs to the point of literal tears, sometimes solo, sometimes crying and struggling to breathe with said friends on Discord.

But even for how much I love Destiny, I hate watching Bungie slowly kill off one of my favorite games of all time. And what's even worse, doing it while being PAINFULLY out of touch with their whole community...

I constantly see Guardians online telling Bungie as a collective community how to make the game better. The player base of this game is passionate, know what they want and the unity I've seen from people who've never met, practically forming a movement all for the sake of making the game better for everyone, is heartwarming.

Yet all this passion falls on surprisingly deaf ears, as Bungie constantly just seems to ignore us. And it's at this point where I need to emphasize that this review is not written because of the game itself. For all it's faults, Destiny is still a great game actually. That will definitely change because the people who are leading it's future are the real issue here though.

That's the point.

I will be honest and to the point to end this off. People don't trust Ubisoft with their IP's these days, but I for one don't trust Bungie with Destiny. Nor the future of the entire franchise at this rate.

Yes, Activation may have once been a problem, but now they're gone and Bungie has nobody else to blame for their errors. They're not only killing this game with their constantly odd and poor company decisions, but stabbing their community in the back. If you ask me, they're giving EA some serious competition.

And not in a good way.

Usually, I'd write a detailed review on a game that's really good like this one.

This time, I'm not even going to bother doing that. Just go and hit that install button. You'll be doing yourself a massive favor. Vermintide 2 is just great. And Warhammer games don't come often these days.

If you like First person, hard core, gore filled, fun hack and slash, AND all in the Warhammer universe? Just download this. You won't regret it.

Even after only 3 hours of playing DESOLATE, I can tell you this game does it right. The prolouge pulled me in, and ever since I hit the play button I was interested. Unlike most survival horror titles that just drop you in and say "Go do stuff," DESOLATE doesn't do this to you.

It actually tells you what you need to know before you get into the action with a tutorial, and that makes it more enjoyable to play because you have a solid idea of what you're doing, how to get around, and what you may want to do when starting off.

I'll keep these short, and to the point.

Atmosphere

You ever feel like you're being watched? Hunted even? Then you might want to look behind you. Or maybe you dont because after all, you just might be.....

Graphics

DESOLATE is simply beautiful, regardless of it being day, or night, it's just pretty to look at. That's all I can really say about this.

Good Horror

The nicely done and spaced out jumpscares not only add to the horror theme here, but it makes the game feel genuinely unsetlling and disturbing; the effect a Horror title should have on you.

Crafting

The crafting system has a small amount of content right now and needs to be grow, but it functions great and it feels fun to make things that aid in your and your friend(s) survival. I'm sure they will expand it in future updates, like everything else though.

Weapons

This one is simple. You'll find weapons around the game that aid in your survival. They're very powerful but can weigh you down and ammo for them is very scarce. So make your shots count, or don't shoot them at all.

An Actual Stealth System

As someone who's a strategist and loves stealth gameplay overall, this is one of the best parts of DESOLATE for me. You can hide from enemies and wild life, throw rocks to distract them and sneak past. Don't want to waste ammo, or you're low on HP and can't craft medicine? Use your wits and creep by.

Skills

Things such as crafting upgrades, less noise when sneaking, stamina regen speed increse and other cool things. Not needed to survive, but it adds to the experiance.

Emotion System

Feeling a little depresed? Maybe you feel Anxiety crawling up your back? Hopefully you find something to help with that.

Optimization

The only real issue of the game, that I imagine will be fixed soon. You'll drop frames often, and you'll lag when you shouldn't. However, at the time of this review, DESOLATE has only been released for a days time. This problem shouldn't be around for very long.

Overall

DESOLATE is awesome, and I can't wait to see where it goes in the future. It has everything I've been looking for in a Survival Horror title for years. Buy it, and play it with friends. You won't be disapointed in your purchase.

When I started playing Robocraft it was amazing. It was fun, entertaining, enjoyable, a stress killer, and honestly, it was actually addicting. But like they say; things change. And boy oh boy, do they. First;

SELF HEALING

I played back when classes were a thing still, and the "10 second recharge system" changed things too much. Before when we had classes, teamwork was involved. Your team would split up into small squads and tatically approch the enemy in different ways, usually with a medic. (Snipers went off on their own to give range support)

Now you just have many players abusing the system. They charging in and die instead of staying with allies, just because if nothing damages them for 10 seconds, they heal. This can hurt the whole team depending on the game mode.

CRATES

There's not much to say except; the crates you get at the end of battles need better reward drops. Getting a reward for your hard work, shouldn't bore you. That's what crates did for me.

CURRENCY SYSTEM

This is honestly the only thing I "hate" about the game. Here's why.

I also played back when we got in game currency (RP was the name) from simply having fun and playing matches. I usually got 500k RP from one match. With premium it'd give me 900k. This gave players room to not only build robots, but waste their money on parts to test robots or even "perfect" their already beautiful works of art.

Even if you were a low level, new player, you could have those parts you wanted in just Two - Three matches. With premium? One battle depending on how good you are. This was more fair to players raising up in the ranks. It also made fighting Pay To Wins less painful for noobs. Now, that's gone.

At this point you need to build robots and sell them to get anything, but prices are usually very high. High to the point of only buying robots if you either Pay To Win, or grind your fingers to dust. This also takes away having your own original one-of-a-kind robot design; what Robocraft was all about from the start.

WEAPONS

Eh, this one isn't a big deal. I'm not against change, but too much isn't good. I'll be blunt, things were fine before but now they're just a weird cluster ♥♥♥♥.

Plasma Launchers: They're good and balanced because you have to actually aim and get skillful to use them right.

SMG: Same as above. Placement may effect spread and accuracy.

Rail: The sniper. Placement certainly effects weapons.

Proto-Seeker: No. Stop. You'd literally hurt someone more shooting them with a pistol, loaded with grains of rice.

AreoFlak Cannons: A cheap, exploding energy blast that cuts your flying bot out of the air. Does barely noticable damage to your robot itself, but ♥♥♥♥♥ your jet wings/Heli Rotar Blades. Even if you have back ups on the bot that aren't in the blast.

Lock On Missle Launcher: Dude, what even in the actual ♥♥♥♥. It's literally just aim, shoot, and that person you're shooting at is RIP. If avoiding was easier, or if they did less damage it'd be fine but.. no. So much for proper balance huh?

Ion Distorter: Hahahahahahaha.......just kill yourself and save the enemy the trouble.

For the sake of length, I'll wrap this up. This doesn't even feel like Robocraft anymore. What Robocraft was meant to be when I first played it, and I'm very dissapointed with the direction this going so far; down the drain. If the game improves, I'll probably touch it again. But until then I simply can't recommend it.

If you like Robocraft, or want to try it despite my review, please go ahead. I hope you have a different, better expriance than I've had.

Ignore my playtime. I've played this on the Xbox, long before I even joined Steam. Loved it then, absolutely still adore it now. Such a low price, mixed with wonderful quality and a noticeably smooth fps, even while recording gameplay or streaming via Steam.

One thing I can say for sure without a doubt; this game is most defiantly worth the money. Get in, enjoy all the colors, and have a blast while blasting everything in your way to BITS!
