roster is fun. mechanics and combos are satisfying. netcode is good.

no ranked 2s. hit impacts tend to feel weak - animations, and sfx are really lacking. no voices.
a few characters look half-baked and heavy attacks are too often recycled for aerial heavies.
there's no items, and the content+modes is incredibly bare-bones. lots of quality of life stuff missing too.

the price for the game is ridiculous. it's essentially pretending not to be an early access indie game. but i also have had a blast with what i've played so far. and the openness to modding is a big plus. if you believe in the devs and care more about the top line of this review then the rest then buy it.
