Early Access Review
The Rundown
Dyson Sphere Program is a game in which you gather resources to create and optimise production lines in an attempt to create Dyson Spheres for humanity. As you play, you research technologies to help you reach this goal quicker. A friend of mine showed me this game and I decided to give it a go as well.

Please note that my review is based on the state of the game from 02/04/2021 (US: 04/02/2021 CN: 2021/04/02), so some points may be outdated by the time you read this review.

What I like
  • The soundtrack is pretty decent and fits well with the game's theme, in my opinion.
  • Addicting and accessible gameplay.
  • The game seems to get regular updates. [1]
[1]: While these are mostly bug fixes, it shows to me that the developers are motivated to work on the game to provide a good experience for the players.

Neutral
  • The English translation is competent. [2]
[2]: The entire game as it is so far has an English translation that I found easy to understand, but there are places here and there that need work. I won't scold the developers for this too harshly as they're trying their best and English is not their first language.

What I dislike
  • No real sense of danger. [3]
I honestly couldn't think of any real massive negatives, so this is more of a cherry pick.
[3]: The game has no enemies or anything that could disrupt your progress, unless you go into space without enough fuel. However, a Q&A from the 14th of January (Here) states enemies might be in the works.

Final Words
Honestly, I think this game is fun and easy for people to pick up and play. My only real points for improvement are some tweaks to the English translation (These tweaks do happen in some patches) and maybe some enemies to add some degree of challenge to the game.

I believe that at the current full price (£15.49) it is worth it, and if you happen to get it when it's on sale, it'll be even more worth it.

I can definitely recommend this game.

The Rundown
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a game where you play as a truck driver who has to build their company from the ground up while doing deliveries for various companies across Europe. You can purchase the trucks for your company, and later on you can purchase trailers and garages too. As you drive, you will have to manage your fuel and your fatigue meter to make sure you get from A to B without problems. This game features licensed trucks from MAN, DAF, Renault, Scania, Mercedes, Iveco and Volvo.

This game is single-player only. However, there is a mod that allows you to play multiplayer if you want to.

What I like

  • This game still gets a lot of updates, despite being about 7 years old. These usually range from content additions to gameplay function additions, as well as bug fixes.
  • There is a LOT of road to cover in this game. While it's not exactly a 1:1 scale (that would take a LONG time), it will still take you quite a while to get from one city to another, especially on a long journey. There are also DLCs that add even more road for you to drive on.
  • This game has steering wheel support, and while I don't use steering wheels myself (I use the keyboard and mouse, and it works really well too), that is a great addition for people who would want a more immersive trucking experience.
  • The game has sliders for options such as brake intensity and trailer stability. This can help you get a more realistic experience (or a more arcade-y experience if that's how you want it).
  • This game doesn't look too bad for its time, in my opinion.

Neutral
  • The game's optimisation is decent, though framerate can drop every now and then. A recent update added basic DirectX 11 implementation, which helped with this quite a bit.
  • Every profile has a truck speed limiter on by default (trucks can't go over 90km/h while speed limiter is on). While this is good for simulation, some might not like that. However, the option to disable it is in the gameplay section. If doing a World of Trucks contract, you will be limited to 90km/h regardless.
  • This game does have a bit of DLC. You don't need all of the DLC for the game to be enjoyable, but the map DLCs should help you get more enjoyment out of the game if you want to go somewhere new, and the cargo DLCs can give you more things to deliver. Paint jobs and design packs don't really mean much unless you like the design and want to buy them.

What I dislike
  • The AI can act strangely sometimes. It's not too common, but sometimes I've had a car randomly stop in front of me, and I've had to foot the bill or take unneeded damage to my truck (or cargo) because of it. (traffic offenses can be turned off in gameplay settings, but damage cannot be disabled without mods.)
  • Unless you take out a loan, it might take you a while to get your first truck. This can be fixed with mods that increase the amount of EXP or cash you get from a job, but it's still worth a mention.

All in all, I think this game is great. It's affordable (especially on sale), it's a somewhat realistic truck driving experience, and there's quite a few places to go. Some other players also consider it quite therapeutic and relaxing.

From my experience with the game, I would definitely Recommend this game.

Thank you.

The Rundown
After the events of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (amazing game, check it out), Rex Power Colt has had two kids: Slayter and Roxanne, who have been tasked with dismantling the Empire of Vietnam, ending Vietnam War IV. You commandeer different vehicles depending on the course, and sometimes even complete missions on foot as either character. Just like Blood Dragon, it tries to pull off an OTT 80s style.

The pros

  • The soundtrack in this game is great (but this could be my synthwave bias talking)
  • Tries to keep the Trials feel of difficulty in the motorbike levels.

The cons

  • Some of the jetpack levels are silver surfer tier difficult.
  • On foot is kind of clunky. While I didn't have much issue, I can see where others are coming from.

The verdict
In my opinion, the game needs LOTS of work. The aesthetic and soundtrack are fine, but controls for jetpacks are unbearable, and for the standard player, probably a put-off.
As a result, I cannot recommend this game, sorry.

The Rundown
SAMURAI WARRIORS 4-II puts you in the shoes of multiple different officers and leaders in the Warring States Era of Japan, as they try to unify the land. This game's modes are as follows:
Story Mode
Free Mode (Story mode but you can pick any character from the game's roster that you've unlocked.)
Survival Mode (Get as high up the tower as you can)

Unlike Dynasty Warriors, you can create your own characters using generic weapons, and after a while of playing the story mode, weapons of playable characters in the game,

They've added two new types of attacks, as well: Hyper attacks and Special attacks. You also get to play as two characters (almost) at once.

Also, there's an area morale system. Areas that are showing different shades of red have enemies that are a bit more difficult to kill, unless something on the battlefield happens that lower that area's enemy morale, or standard bearers in the area are killed.

The Pros
  • A multitude of officers to play as, each with their own abilities. This could slightly counteract the game's repetitiveness.
  • Able to get objectives done quicker on single player thanks to having two playable characters at once.
  • Gameplay seems to have a bit more to it.

The Cons
  • Levels can get repetitive, especially since most of the maps on certain stories are the same as in previous stories, just with different playable characters.
  • Japanese only voices. While this personally doesn't bother me, some people might not like this.
  • Unskippable cutscenes. For people who like games driven by a story, this probably doesn't matter. However, players that might want to get into the action without having to look at the cutscenes.

All in all, this game comes with its flaws, just like most games. For people who like a story driven game where you get to see battles from different perspectives, I believe this game can be for you. Those who don't like overly repetitive gameplay might have a small bit of trouble, though it probably won't be that big of a deal.

I personally find the game quite enjoyable, so I think this game deserves a Recommendation from me.

Happy playing!

The rundown
This game is a straightforward 3D hack'n'slash, where your primary objective is to complete the objectives on the field, beating the crap out of any foes that stand in your way. Some of the weapons are over the top and probably wouldn't have even existed at the time the game is set, not like it matters. You're here to take control of the battlefield, and put your enemies in their place. This game comes with two player local co-op, story modes for different factions, a free mode and "Ambition Mode".

The pros
  • An abundance of officers to choose from (In free mode and ambition mode. Usually limited from 1 to 5 in story mode missions)
  • Gameplay isn't too difficult to learn and master.
  • Graphics, although probably not the best, are pretty good.

The cons
  • English voice acting isn't that great. Not to say they didn't try, but it just feels a little off.
  • Controller setup can be a bit of a pain depending on your controller.
  • The game can get repetitive if you've been playing for a long time.

Overall, I'd say that this game deserves a recommendation from me. The game does have quite a few flaws, but I think that this game is quite good if you're willing to overlook or overcome them.

This gives you most of the DLC, but it misses out on two of them:

Droid Character Pack
Phamtom Limb Level Pack

Considering the main purpose of a Season pass is to bundle ALL of the DLC in a convenient purchase, this product doesn't really seem entirely fit for purpose.

for the DLCs that DO come with it, they're not too bad.

My verdict:

Would NOT recommend if you're looking to get every single DLC (including the ones not included) in one swoop (unless you're willing to cough up an extra £4.08 for the DLC this season pass misses), but I would recommend if you're looking to get the DLC that's included in here at a cheaper price.

If you use mods for skyrim, there's a high chance you're going to need this, as some mods require this for them to work properly (or run at all).
