Community gets worse and worse. Not an environment for people new to hero shooters.

I have played three complete play-throughs with this game and am quite torn. Did the game fulfill its promises yes! It did. It has an enjoyable enough late game and has less micromanagement than other titles. However, religion has taken a back seat in this game. The UI needs some work but is fixable. The CIV switching mechanic is well done for I have never felt like I was missing out on the CIV experience. The game has a lot of potential to be the best civ game to release, but the devs have work to do.

I do not see this as a City Skylines 2 situation just that the game implemented a lot of new features that these reviews don't do justice. It takes time to learn even for experienced CIV players. There are a lot of new mechanics that interact with each other.

ONE THING I DO MISS THOUGH is the loyalty system. I hate the AI forward settling me when I want a peaceful game haha.

I am glad that the devs are patching the game quickly.

This is a great game, and I enjoy playing, considering there is only 1 developer.
There is a learning curve to the game because some things are not explained in the tutorial.
Archers are not are useful as I would hope.

In later updates, I would love to see barracks, walls, and archer towers. Also, the A.I. is really challenging, which is nice because most games make the A.I too easy. I would say the game requires about 10 hours of building a failing community before you understand what works and what doesn't.

Edit: I never built the manor there are a lot of new unlocks once it is built. Must do! Ignore some of my review.

Hint: Vegetables are important, and food diversity matters. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I am torn. I want to support you, but meh.

I love the game and what is being done with it! Drones go boom with the new character! More explosions the better. If you don't have the game yet I would recommend. Please note there is a learning curve to the game now because of all gadgets and gizmos that have been added in since its release. Hours = 269 and I have earned almost every character. I have not needed to buy characters with real money if not including the default ones that came with my Siege version.

Democracy 4 is a really fun game and I encourage individuals to buy this game. I've only played as Canada and the United States so far, but the game is fantastic. In fact this is my first game review on Steam. I think you will enjoy the game too as more nations get added.
