One of the best games of all time

Doesn't stick the landing story-wise as much as the previous entry in the series, but it makes leaps forwards in terms of UI and gameplay. Additionally, the story progression feels more natural and the pacing seems less all over the place than the original. Maybe a bit easier than the first game though.

It's like if old school Minecraft parkour were made into a standalone game. Add the fact that it has workshop support and this game is absolutely worth the price.

It's pretty good if you own the prior games too. But until freelancer comes out, I feel that it is a bit lacking in content in comparison to the first two games. Furthermore their doubling down on elusive targets with the introduction of the elusive target arcade is a bit of a joke given that they've been criticized for that aspect of the game for years. They also still have the always online crap that pretty much nobody likes. In terms of the actual levels, they're pretty well crafted and I very much enjoy them, but the final level is far too linear and has almost no replay value.

Best gameplay of the series, more satisfying legendary guns than before, the story sucks, but the Borderlands style of humour is still there, unchanged, so if you like 2012 memes you'll love this. The DLC is consistently enjoyable, although they suffer from pretty forgettable stories for the most part, all DLCs except for the Handsome Jackpot have unmemorable storylines and characters.
